And it was declared by the nation of Doritos. Yep, Doritos held a contest to produce a commercial that would be beamed to the star 47 Ursa Majoris, a star known to have a planetary system. Although no Earthlike planets have been found, they are too small to be detected with today's technology and there structure of the system leaves the possibility open of their existence.
"But surely this can't be a declaration of war?" you say. Before you judge, watch the commercial.
Now imagine you are an alien and you receive this transmission. Yikes! There is a planet 45 light years away with GIANT BEINGS that feast on small yellow dancing traingles!
This is clearly a sign of a threatening society and the only solution is to launch an all out assault!
Fortunately, this star is 45 light years away, but we must prepare now!
Ursa Majoris? How far away is that from Labia Majoris?
ReplyDeleteUrsa Majoris-isn't that the Big Dipper?
ReplyDeleteDoes the JT get your real posts and JTI gets the funk? lol I love it!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet the tobacco companies have been beaming commercials into space for years. The aliens think we're all Marlboro men.
