I bought some annuals I couldn't find anywhere else at Menards once. Wal-Mart of course will be cheaper. I'm not in the business anymore, so my info isn't current. Once or twice I went to a place called CJ's (I think), west of the interstate, south of K - they had an ad in the print Journal Times. They're small-time growers and very inexpensive. Their stock was also guite small - perhaps less than ideal growing conditions - but useable. I lkie Waynes Daughters' Douglas Ave location just because that used to be Town and Country, where I once worked. They've fixed the place up nice.
There's also Mega Discount Nursery, 1901 E Rawson Ave, Oak Creek, but that's not "in town." I recommend them ONLY for price. I never bought bedding materials from them, but did get some trees and shrubs when customers insisted on the lowest possible price and didn't care about quality. Everyone who works there looks like they were just hired from a homeless shelter.
LOL. I found it. It is really nice there and affrdable! Thanks!! I bught a couple pretty perrenials (which is normally all I get) and a few annuals for a big pot I bought last year.
Now I need to find a nice cool looking outdoor plant stand :)
Trying to pretty up the yard for our anniversay party next weekend.
I've got mine (And Im cheap) from Waynes Daughters (On 5 mile) and Menards.
ReplyDeleteWaynes Daughters? Never heard of it. Where on 5 Mile?? So they are pretty cheap??
ReplyDeleteI was looking around at Menards last week (Burlington) and they still seem kinda pricey. I bought a modest hanging flower thingy and it was 30 bucks.

ReplyDeleteWaynes Daughters "city" location: 5 Mile Rd and Douglas Ave (Hwy 32). North of K-Mart.

ReplyDeleteThe cheapest thing to do is steal them from your neighbor's yard. lol
ReplyDeleteSeriously, wasn't that just in the news? Someone swiped 6 or 8 bushes from an apartment complex?
I also like Wayne's Daughters.
