I was recently telling a friend about Winger on the old Journal Times site. With that software, when you held your cursor over another person's username, their IP and email address were displayed. (It was a great. Like a fool, I registered using a "real" email account. It immediately was spammed to hell.) I noticed that Winger's IP address changed with each of his posts. I asked him about it, and he said he had been banned, so he was using proxies.
Later, after the Journal Times launched the new site, they named him blogger of the week or month or something like that. I believe it was the only time they did that. I remember thinking about how things change. His blogging seemed to taper off after that. Then, after some people left the site, there was a big jump in his posts.
He and TBV are two old-timers that I respect on that site. His input will be missed.
I sent him several pm's asking him to come visit our site in the past. He continued to post at the JT site instead. Maybe he will reconsider. I too will miss his off the wall humor and 'odd news.'
This is my new home. It's good to be among friends.
I am trying to cut down on the time I waste blogging. I will, however, post things here that I find interesting and hope you find them interesting too.
If I spent as much time researching investments as I do surfing the web and reading political crap, I'd be rich.

Looks like neither, or at least he isn't in a huff: http://my.journaltimes.com/post/Winger/blog/so_long_and_thank_you_for_the_fish.html

bummer
I was shocked when I saw that one, maybe he'll come hang out here -
Winger, I hope you'll join us, to lose you completely would be very sad
You're kidding about TBV, right?

Testing......
Testing what TBV, our patience? :)
I'll miss wingers posts too, there were often the most active ones out there. One more reason to not look at the JT often.
I'm here! That old site is Nowheresville these days. All the GOOD people (except anonymous) appear to have fled for this blog.
Thanks TBV...we like it here too.
If this is really you ; ) send your email addy (and some money, j/k) to setup an official account.
I was shocked to see Winger leaving-wonder what was that all about? He should come over here. This format would fit him perfectly.
Thank you for the kind comments.

Thanks again.
I think I just shed a fucking tear. I'm OK now, thanks.
I cant figure out the rhyme or reason JT kicks someone out or deletes comments.
WELCOME WINGER!! Nice to have you aboard!!
Hey Winger,
I see no one caught the reference about the fish. Don't forget your towel, its the most useful thing you can have.
I caught it winger, just didn't feel the need to state the obvious. HGTTG
