The Sky Tonight: The Moon and Venus

Tonight I managed to get out and snap a couple of pics.
Venus is to the right of the Moon. You can even see a little Earthshine on the Moon if you look closely. Earthshine illuminates the dark part of the Moon. It is light that is reflected from the Earth and then bounces off the Moon.

I took a wide shot as well.

Look to the upper left of the Moon and you see Jupiter. Jupiter and Venus are converging for a very close encounter coming up in a few weeks. On the evening of December 1st, Venus, the Moon and Jupiter will all be very close together. Be sure to mark you calendar for that!

Hale, nice pics! These are the pics I was shooting for yesterday. Too many trees and buildings in the way for a good shot.

Who's that chick standing in front of the window without any clothes on?

Went out tonight and I took a few pictures. Your pictures turned out much better. Mine barely showed Venus. Very cool to see in person though.
