I'm thankful my kids got to school safe today, being the 1st day of snow and their 1st time driving in snow!

I'm thankful for this crazy disfunctionally happy family we have here!! Thanks to 'that other site' that brought us together SO much better than we ever were there!

SER, you make me smile every time.
Orbs, I just adore you, you're both like older brothers to me, I love it! (you WILL beat up anybody that bothers me, right??)

KK, thanks for all your number crunching and for being a wonderful friend.

Drew, Thanks for being my coordinating wing-man and always offering to help in any way.

Abby, you make me smile :)

Beejay, you're our fearless snake killer, you rock!

AA and Logjam, you both make me laugh so hard my sides hurt!

Cyndi - your blog is always so cute and quirky and makes me smile alot.

I know there are more and my mind is slipping into neutral from being up over 16 hours, sorry, I do appreciate everybody, this site wouldn't be the same if any of you weren't here!!!

Happy Thanksgiving guys!!!!!!!!!

I am thankful for my family who has stood by me steadfastly over the past year. My two beautiful nieces and their children who love and call their Aunt B on a regular basis. I am so blessed.

I am grateful for all of you guys who have put up with me and my bawling and ridiculous melodramatic moods during this period as well. You are some of the nicest and greatest people I have ever met. You are all dear to me. Thank you, thank you.

And I am thankful for living in the greatest country in the world. I may not always agree with our government, but I won't be shot for voicing my disagreement either. (Orbs, bet you didn't know I had a political side!)

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving to all of you.

Beejay

PS SER, I would never have survived without your wit. A special thanks to you! You kept me from sinking when you didn't even know you were keeping me afloat.

Abby, thank you for being such a pal. You are a great gal, someone is going to grab you up one of these days. Thanks for the shoulder.

I'm thankful too. At a stage in my life where I didn't expect to make a wazoo of best friends, I have.

When my life seems to spin out of control, I can come here and always find some sanity or better yet... some insanity! Something or someone always can make me laugh.

Orbs, your off the wall humor busts me up. SER, you are the sweetest yet most devilish guy I've ever met. Hale, you keep my mind fresh. Drew, thanks for the musical moments. Girls....Abby, Cyndi, Lizardmom, Beejay, what can I say? When we start yakking, the comfort level is right there... like great friends that I've known since high school.

If I didn't name you specifically, it doesn't mean that I'm not thankful for your friendship. It just means that I'd like to get to know you better too. Come on out and hang with us sometime.

kk, I didn't know what to expect when I originally joined the RJT blogging group. This has turned out to be more enjoyment that I had ever anticipated. Who knew that all of you would become friends where we can voice any little concern and get the support we need. What a compassionate group you are.

Where do I start? I'm thankful for so many things...All the great people here who gift us with so many things:

Drugs from Lizardmom, Music from Drew, Snakes from Beejay, Prophesy from Mme. Z, Political insight from Orbs, the universe from Hale, abject hilarity from Logjam and SER.

But most of all, I am thankful for Helga from Liechtenstien who taught me how to wind my cuckoo clock.

I hope everyone has an irregular Thanksgiving!

I am thankful that when I'm having a bad day at work, I can come out here and get a good belly laugh. Between Orbs and SER, something is always up.
I am thankful for everyone here being so nice and friendly. And I'm also thankful none of us were arrested during our last bus tour of Europe.

Ok. Here I go.
Thanks guys. Being here is like leaning over the backyard fense with a cup of coffee, talking to the neighbor and solving the worlds problems (or at a bar with a 25 cent tapper.....[talk about dating myself]).
I'm thankful for the bus trips. They're imaginative and FREE!
I'm thankful for my kids (they do great in school, stayed out of jail, and didn't knock anyone up).
I'm thankful for my wife. She does wind my clock (but at times I can't figure out what direction she's turning the key).
I'm thankful that I don't have other peoples problems (mine are enough).
And finally, I am thankful that I live in the best country in the world, and proud to have served for her.
Happy Turkey day folks!

I saw this blog yesterday, but didn't comment because I was in a bad mood. The only thing I wanted to post was, "When is the Airing of Grievances?" Actually, the JTI is for the airing of grievances, and the airing of commendations, and the airing of opinions, and, most importantly, the sharing of airing.

First and foremost, I'm grateful to Al Gore for creating the Internet. I had no idea how much his invention would change my life. I'm also grateful to BO'B and his crew, for without them, I'd still be plodding along on a site where a feces flinging felon was the headlining story of the weekend. I'm also grateful to the Journal Times for spinning off Dustin Block, who created the Racine Post. His and Pete Selkowe's work on the Post have turned it into an amazing site. It is THE place to go to get the behind-the-scenes story on anything happening in the area. Of course, I still read the Journal Times for their daily thug reports and overview of crime-o-rama in Racine.

A very big, hearty thank you to all the irregular and regular friends who supported me during the dark ages at the Journal Times. When I was banned again (for the 5th or 6th time?), I was resigned to my personal blog and my personal insanity. You have no idea how touched I was to discover that some of you shared the same feelings that I had. I had this crazy idea that instead of stifling ingenuity, intelligence, and creativity amongst a site's participants, perhaps you should encourage them. How radical to embrace your audience rather than lecture them. How nutty to share rather than withhold.

Thank you Lizardmom and kk for luring me out of my lair and talking me into this. If you had told me a few months ago that I would be picnicking and bowling with a bunch of people I met online, I'd have asked you what you were smoking (and if I could have some :P ). Thank you to SER, Drew, Hale-bopp, AvengingAngel, Stu, Beejay, Cyndi, Abby, Logjam, DogAddicts, Huck Finn, and all the other regular irregulars (even you, Zoltar, you gypsy moth). Thank you for participating and posting and commenting. And thank you especially to everyone who reads this site and/or peeks in on us occasionally. Please feel free to comment at anytime. You don't have to join or register, just speak up. Or not. The voices in my head are always babbling anyway....

Oh, and in regard to "real life" (ugh), thanks mom and sis for everything. Without you guys (and dad), I'd never have been as crazy as I am.

kkdither said...

Hey, what are you talking about? I thought this was real life!

And ditto to all of what orbs so eloquently said. (sharing of airing... LOVE it!) Orbs is correct. Without your participation, we would just be talking to ourselves. Please join the coversation.

Naming names always get you in trouble. Sorry to Huck, Stu, AA, DogAddicts, Mary, Fungi and Logjam for the omission. You guys rock too! Thanks for being there... wherever you are. I hope I didn't miss anyone else!

I'm thankful the year is nearly over with. I'm thankful my house is paid off. I'm thankful my car is still running. It's been a very rough year and it will be good to turn the page.

Wow, there sure has been a lot of crazy shit happen in the past year. Orbs was even able to talk “one on one” with our (can’t find the word) Major! Now that was a trip!

Although, I do have a special secret that I keep to myself!

I do enjoy the irregulars group and it is nice to know I can use words like, poopie, fart and maybe tinkle and not be scolded for it.

Everyone, have a great holiday!

.........SER
