  1. I have yahoo dsl.. I'm very happy with the speed of page connections. I've been on other computers that have road runner or other cable and really don't notice the difference. I think if you are watching movies or downloading music or other files, it may make a difference.

  2. Wisconsin
    Population: 5,601,640
    Area: 65,498 square miles
    Average speed: 402 Kbps
    SurfSpeed rank: 45th
    Satisfied users: 36 percent

45th out of 50 and only 36% are satisfied with their service. Not exactly a surfer's paradise.

I like that PC Magazine designed a special utility to test internet speed. Road Runner will accept data from their speed test server ONLY in considering complaints about their service. That's like complaining to the mayor about crime in your neighborhood and he says, "Gee, everything looks nice downtown."

36% satisfaction - we should demand better (I do, trust me, RR knows...).

  3. I always liked this little test by McAfee. Simple dial, simple mind...

  4. I have RR and I feel it's pretty quick.

Using KK's test (McAfee)it tells me it's running over 2000.

I don't have a problem with RR, but the tv cable sometimes isn't that great...

  5. I cant stand using the internet when I'm home in Racine. I find it incredibly slow. My dad has DSL I think it's SBC or something, but it absolutely drives me crazy feels like everything takes forever. It's hard to take a step back from what you are used to.
