In case you're wondering, yes, this was one we took care of, name is Honey, he was our schools iguana.
ReplyDeleteHe stayed with us on school holidays, weekends and vacations. We dug up a MASSIVE dandelion 'bush' and brought it in for the winter in that giant pot he's so happily laying on, claiming as his own. It lasted most of the winter :)
He was a really cool dude, he had pretty much free reign of the house and he knew how to behave himself :)
Glad you're feeling better, LZ. I'm going to see "Gran Torino", the new Clint Eastwood movie tonight.
ReplyDeleteThree day weekend, oh yeah! :> I'm not taking any calls!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better Liz. I was getting worried about you.
Hey just wanted to pop in and say hey!! I'm getting acclamated to life as a parent to two children. Trying to get the breastfeeding to work (it's going pretty well now) and trying to figure out how one sleeps with a newborn and a 2 year old.
ReplyDeleteAnyways like I said just wanted to be a little social and say hi. Hope things are going well for everyone.
Hey Joe, you will like this one! We are loved just as you are!!!!
ReplyDelete(heck everyone else will like what I found too...)

Glad your feeling better LZ. It's been 5 weeks since the knee overhaul. I've gotten rid of the walker and crutches and advanced to a cane. What pissing me off now is I have a toothache that hurts so bad it makes my knee feel good. Will someone please take me out back and shoot me!

ReplyDeleteGuys, I saw Gran Torino last weekend and I loved it. Clint is so Dirty Harry on Medicare in there. I think you'll enjoy it, AA.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I’m an optimist or pessimist..
ReplyDeleteIs the week over, or did the weekend just start?
Yea the JT visits our page about a 100 times a day, I am starting to wounder if they are are looking to copy our articles and claim them as original material. We have already found two of our original works on the JT website, Maybe Parrish should practice what he preaches! I think its awesome the JT is trying to help our page views and hits, although we don't really need it! In looking at the servers logs i can see why Parrish is so scared! :)

LOL Joe. The stats I posted are only from one computer. I noticed several different computers with Lee Enterprise IP's hitting our page. One might wonder why they aren't spending more time hunting down some new news? I now read my news at racinenews.org.
ReplyDeleteKK,
ReplyDelete192-104-231-235.rev.lee.net is the JT office in Racine, all the other ones are from the Iowa headquarters of LEE.
MOM, take care of yourself. We need you.
ReplyDeleteMy grandniece has strep.
I hear Gran Torino is great. I will see it when it hits DVD.
Why Not?, I didn't have children. I can't imagine dealing with both a newborn and a 2 year old.
Happy Weekend, Journal Times and Lee Enterprises! The Internet is like the universe - ever-expanding.
It's been a long day.Up at 1:45 AM to be at work by 4:00 AM. Worked a ten hour shift. Picked up my son,ran errands, and didn't get home until 6:00 PM. I'm tired...
ReplyDeleteLiz-glad you're feeling better.
Why Not?-good luck with them kids.
KK-three day weekend? I'm jealous.
AA-hope you like the movie.Let us know how goes.
Logjam-glad that you're leg is feeling better.as for your tooth-:(
Abby-You warned me about the strep throat. Remember to use the flashcards.
Eighteen hours on the computer? must be reading this site from the begining. Some good stuff here.
Holy Bajesus, I believe it’s time to go to bed. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is on TV and for being a true story, this on is a little hard to believe.
ReplyDeleteAA, how did you like the movie?
ReplyDeleteDamn, it's cold out there. 8 degrees. Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteI know Orbs,my car wouldn't start again this morning. Had to get it jumped. I must have left a light on in the car.
ReplyDeleteDrew, I have to tell you this...last night when I came home, I looked in the backseat and a light was on there. This damn light has probably been on for weeks (since that little darling G-niece of mine was here). But our low was only in the low 30's the other night and I do use my car daily, so I guess my battery is still good or (I know, remember I am blond!) it goes out automatically with the rest of the lights. Duh.
ReplyDeleteBeejay,I replaced the battery during the last big chill. No problems till this morning. If it wasn't an interior light left on,it could be the starter or alternater. Since the the recharge this morning-no problems.
ReplyDeleteDrew and Hale, I have to tell you both this...the day I met Hale for lunch (and such a nice lunch it was), a fellow stopped me and told me my car had a problem...What????? He told me not to drive from hot weather to cold...Again, I say WHAT????? He went from New Jersey to Key West and ended upwith some sort of problem. I told him I bought my car new (2003); He said he had also done that. Me, I decided that living in FL, I did not need AWD...duh..what, I'm going to stuck in the sand??? His was AWD. Jerk kept telling me that I was going to have a problem with my car. I finally just got in my car and left.
ReplyDeleteBUT, I need to tell you this, when I drove to WI last December, right after Christmas, I did have one little teensy problem. The windshield wash froze. I thought I would be replacing the pump...turns out, in Florida we have different Wash than in WI...ours does not stay liquid at 30 below! Duh. It thawed in Southern GA or Northern FL! Ooh, I had forgotten about WI winters! :)
-2 now.
ReplyDeleteIt is cooling down for he evening here, as well..probably about 72 or 73 right now.
