I am glad to see this for one. Lee Enterprises also runs the Arizona Daily Star. Since Gannett just announced they will shut down the Tucson Citizen it would leave a pretty major metro area without a daily newspaper if they both went down.

No kidding on the customer relations part of the problem.

HB, someone will come in and step up. If done right, there is money to be made. It might not be printed newsprint, but the news keeps happening and the people want to know.

I dunno nothing about high finance.

I wonder how much control Lee exerts over its newspapers? Do they micromanage? Would the Journal Times be a different entity if Lee wasn't breathing down its neck? Of do they just piss people off on their own, without any help from Lee?
