I head a piece on the radio last week about the new Fox show Lie to Me. It is based on the science of reading people's expressions and gestures, specifically on the work of Dr. Paul Ekman who also serves as the show's science advisor. He even blogs about the science in each episode.So I decided to check it out and will say I found it enjoyable (I missed the first episode and just watched the second one on my DVR tonight). Like many shows of its style (Numbers and the Mentalist to name a couple) the techniques they use are valid, but usually don't result in solving crimes at quite the speed depicted on the show!
I am all for sneaking more science into entertainment whenever possible, and this looks like another promising show that may do just that.

I'm gonna have to give it a shot. My be I can learn when my kids are lying..their getting better at it.Right now the only shows I'm faithful too are Bones and House.
