This first week's a double header. As some of you may know the Grammys were held about two weeks ago. I don't usually pay too much attention to the Grammys. Largely because of my disdain for the music industry as a whole. They shamelessly promote the big names with the gimmicks and often ignore the real talent. The Grammys are a joke. Remember the Milli Vanilli and the Jethro Tull incidents? I do. This year's nominees were quite interesting and the winners surprised me. Most of them all with Robert Plant and Allison Krauss's award for their album, Raising Sand. So what do you think of the Grammys?Here's a video from the album.

With the success of Robert Plant's venture with Allison Krauss, Robert opted out the possibility of a Led Zeppelin reunion tour. My next question is-should Robert Plant forge ahead and broaden his music spectrum or do a reunion tour with the possibilty of filling stadiums and making a gazillion bucks?

Robert Plant has aged,and quite gracefully I may add,kk. He's 61 years old now. If you'll notice him in my avatar (pic taken in 1975)and compare him to now,he's still got his golden locks.

Although I would like nothing more than a Led Zep reunion, Plant seems to be enjoying this collaboration.
I have never watched or paid attention to the Grammys.
I've also become more or less oblivious to the current music scene as my internet addiction has grown. I knew nothing about this collaboration until Drew's blog. That first song, Please Read the Letter, blew me away. I also like Gone Gone Gone - hollow body electric guitars are cool. Anyway, if Mr. Plant wants to continue in this vein, or another, who are we to tell him no? I know a Led Zeppelin reunion tour would be awesome for the fans, but he must be tired of it by now, and money doesn't seem to be his primary motive.
P.S. If I can't fix it, it ain't broke. ;)
As a die hard Zep fanantic,I'd give my first born (not literary)to see them in concert. I've heard all the solo albums by Plant. Since the beginning,Plant has moved futher away the Zeppelin legacy,exploring new ground. In my opinion,with some damn good results. I kinda wonder what the new Plant/Krauss album would sound like.

Someone confusing Robert Plant with Robert Palmer (who's been dead for years) is almost as bad as someone confusing Bruce Springsteen with Rick Springfield....but not quite :)
