Okay, I think I have about had it with these women calling 9-1-1 for such foolishness. I just heard on the News At Noon that some woman called in about not getting 'extra shrimp!'
When are we going to start charging these people with a nice hefty fine for such foolishness?
'By the time the police responded to the restaurant, the woman had already left!' They responded????? What the hail is that about?

HAHAHA was she from florida?
Don't know...I just heard it on the news...didn't catch that part...I was in here, pretending to do taxes. LOL....I hate this job...getting it set for the CPA! Ugh.
Just checked...Texas....
Beejay I need my taxes done..........I'll be over with teh paperwork.
Ridiculous.
HALTOM CITY, Texas - A woman called 911 to report she didn't get as much shrimp as she wanted in her fried rice at a Texas restaurant.
Haltom City police on Tuesday released the taped emergency call, in which the customer is heard telling the dispatcher, "to get a police officer up here, what has to happen?"
The customer also says: "He didn't even put extra shrimp in there."
The upset customer had left the Fort Worth-area restaurant when an officer arrived Monday afternoon.
Restaurant workers say the woman had been denied a refund after leaving with her order, then returning to complain.
Cook June Lee says nothing was wrong with the meal, and that "some customers are happy. Some are not."

Hmmm...I'll have to remember that next time I notice the customer service lacking. 9-1-1 must must resolve disputes quicker or better than the better business bureau or the local news consumer advocate groups. Pinheads.
Abby, you life could be in danger...serious danger!
I think it was on Jay Leno that I heard a 911 call from a guy whose windshield had frost on it and he needed help getting it off. Apparently he didn't know what a defroster was.
And he's driving on our roads. Scary.
Mary:
Speaking of car maintenance. Have you had your directional fluid checked lately?
Beejay:
I started my taxes today also. It's rather early, but I thought I would get a head start this year.
Unfortunately, the police in most jurisdictions MUST respond to every 911 call. The logic being that the person may just be talking nonsense to divert attention from an intruder or other criminal.
