Racine LOOKS like a beautiful place. Living here my whole life I've forgotten to open my eyes and see the beauty. Thanks SER for the eye opening pictures.

very beautiful. I keep telling myself that someday I want to go sit on the bench overlooking the lake and watch the sun come up

Those are very nice, SER. I'm more or less familiar with all of those areas. I grew up near North Beach. Sunrises were awesome. Moonrises, too.

I liked the Pic of City Hall, But it looked even better at 12:30 this afternoon. 2-300 folks gathered for a TEA Party! it's nice to be at a Rally that's a bunch of Hippys with Faded Tie Died Shirts!!
And BTW the Lawn was just as clean when they left as it was when they arrived! Check out Racine Post for some great Pics!

Once it was late at night and I was looking over the lake and I saw a boat on fire right on the horizon. I thought...who should I tell? It was just the moon rising. Beautiful. Also if you are ever driving around at 4 am in the morning it is surprising to see the newspaper people delivering papers. They are the only ones out at that time.

It's amazing how peaceful this city looks in the pics. It just a shame it can't be like that all night long.
Great pics.

I can't believe how many people are out floating around in the middle of the night. Now I know SER is one of them.

I also meant to point out how nicely you captured sunrise...notice that the does not appear round but rather nice and fat...good old atmospheric refraction at work! The effect shows up nicely over the water.

AA...don't ya know the night time is the right time!

HB... thanks, it is amazing once the sun starts to "break" the horizon, how fast it does rise.
