When I was a kid, I remember waking up to cartoons on Saturday mornings. You know, the classic ones like Tom and Jerry, Woody Woodpecker, and Bugs Bunny. What happened to them? Are they locked in the vault somewhere? I miss some of these cartoons. What cartoons did you watch?

Looney Tunes, anything by Max Fleischer, Car Tunes, MGM cartoons, oh man, I loved that stuff.
Hand animation takes many, many hours to produce, but that's how you get stuff like the classic Disney cartoons. Today there is a lot of computer animated garbage out there and stuff done in sweatshops overseas. Like everything else modern, quality doesn't matter anymore, only making $$$.
It all falls down to the liberal agenda of mind control of our children. The old cartoons were too violent and it was thought that benign educational cartoons would bring about the golden age.
No matter what though, they are gone due to the liberal agenda.
Clutch Cargo, Bugs Bunny, Roadrunner, Hawthorne Leghorn, Casper the friendly ghost.
Clutch Cargo gave me the creeps. I didn't like the way their mouths moved.
I loved all the Looney Tunes stuff. Road Runner, Bugs, Casper. Pepe le Pew was always my favorite. He just wouldn't leave that poor cat alone. Mary... you were close, wasn't the big guy's name Foghorn Leghorn?
I also watched Ray Raynor on Channel 9 out of Chicago every morning before school. At Christmas time they showed Suzie Snowflake and the Santa's elves cartoon, Hardrock, Coco and Joe. I think I still know the words to both of those songs. Wasted brain cells.
Hekyll and Jekyll....Orbs, Looney Toons...loved 'em...but really when I was a kid, there were not many available up in the northwoods. We only had a couple stations on our Zenith TV!
I watched all the ones you mentioned plus Popeye, Top Cat, Mighty Mouse, Felix the cat and My favorite: Yogi Bear :)

All the Warner Brothers stuff; and I’ll still watch them today. I love cartoons, they make you laugh and relax to bring you back to reality!

I was a Ray Raynor fan, too. And Clutch Cargo freaked me out, too. And Captain Kangaroo was too effeminate, or something, for me.

You can get all of the Tom & Jerry cartoons on DVD now... probably the other ones you watched too.
I watch a 4 yr old who has decided that T&J is the best and her favorite.

Did you see where they are making a movie of the Three Stooges? So far the only name I remember is Sean Penn. Yes, he will be one of the stooges.
This is either going to be really good or bad.
Truthfully, I just don't think you can beat them. Just like Laurel and Hary, they can't ever be replaced.

No, I didn't know about the Stooges movie. I agree hat it will be really good or really bad, with my money on the bad. Jim Carrey as Curly? God, no.
Saturday morning cartoons were awesome in the 60s and 70s. I always watched the Bugs Bunny/ Road Runner Hour. Also Tom and Jerry. Other favorites were The Wacky Racers, The Jetsons, The Flintstones, The Pink Panther Show, The Archies, Bill Cosby and Friends, and of course The Banana Splits.
Other cartoons that were not on Saturday morning were Popeye, Woody Woodpecker, Mighty Mouse, Speed Racer, Tennessee Tuxedo, Rocky and Bullwinkle, and Casper.
I'm thinkin I watched too much TV when I was a kid. I probably watch too much as an adult too.
I was searching for something in the garage last week and came across a box of comic books. I flipped through a few of them and one had a line up of Saturday morning cartoons. If I have time today I'll see if I can find it.
