I just have to post this. I am one proud Aunt.
My nephew is participating in the Gobi March, one of the 4 Desert Endurance Races. He is in stage 3 and so far is not doing too badly. Last I checked I think he was ranked # 66 out of 145.
Money is being raised by this group to make people aware of various childhood illnesses, treatments, facilities, etc. I have a great niece with autism. Her Dad is doing this for her! What a guy!
Want to take a gander at what the route entails go to Gobi4good.com and click on race details.
Running a marathon is good, doing it for seven days...yikes. And here I took a seven mile bike ride this a.m. and thought I was the athlete of all time (NOT)!
Hale, this sounds like something you would do...
Until our delightful Ms. kk fixes the link, you will have to copy and paste...Soooorrrrryyyyy!
ReplyDeleteGotcha covered Ms. B. It is a very easy fix. :)
ReplyDeletethanks, Queen of the JTI's!
ReplyDeleteNo, no lady. The title is computer goddess... :)
ReplyDeleteI speed walked for 30 minutes this morning, I guess that doesn't qualify for athlete of all time either... but we did walk VERY fast!
You have every right to be proud, Beejay. I feel faint if I just think about running 250 km in the desert.
ReplyDeleteThat's neat Beejay. You SHOULD be proud.
ReplyDeleteI think a marathon followed by a nice shower, hot tub, and a comfy bed is about my limit!
ReplyDeleteI do believe out Mark will be of the same mind-set once this is done.
