Too bad. I didn't go there very often, but when I did, I had a good time. Last year, the JTI was the DailyKenoshan's First Pick for a local blog: http://www.jtirregulars.com/2008/08/dks-first-pick-jt-irregulars.html.
It's sad to see anyone leave the local blogging or news scene. I can understand, though, how it could become too much. Good luck and best wishes to John Nordquist and Lisa Loring. You will be missed.

I visited from time to time too. I would forget and then like you, orbs, would always find something there of interest.
Good luck to both of them! They are talented people. I do think something good will come to them.
They are both welcome to come and post here, if the urge to be heard presents itself.
I suspect they'll pop back up on the internet in one way or another. That site had a large following.

I just clicked on their link again and it opened to "KenoshaForums from the DailyKenoshan.com." It states: "News: We've managed to save the forum from 2004 to date..."

I'm sure there's much less work moderating a forum than gathering and posting news.
I will miss them and hope they make it to the picnic next weekend
