Today's wakep music
There were actually two songs. The first one was very old and I'm sure few have heard it. I only have the lyrics as no vid can be found.
Oh-h where have you been Billy Boy Billy Boy.
Oh-h where have you been my charming Billy.
I have been to see my wife
She's the joy of my life.
She's a young thing and cannot leave her mother.

I may have found the melody. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7z7mGggu1Y
I could sing it for you... Not sure if mom sang it to us as kids or if it was a girl scout song. Recognized it right away. Even remembered the Cherry Pie verse.... man, I'm a coot!
(lol on your youtube-- it is "sort of" it)

I remember that - at least the first verse.
Bette Midler also does a great job of singing Under the Boardwalk...
Thanks Huck. I feel "very old". I was looking at the lyrics and sure enough, the melody just started.
