"Flare sparked fire at Patrick Cudahy plant"

Surveillance video at plant shows explosion on roof, small fire




Someone shot a "military" style flare over the plant, it exploded and started the fire. Wow. $16.000 reward being offered for the perpetrator.

Someone fooling around with something in the name of the holiday. All that damage, all that cost, all those people potentially out of work. What a shame.

or it was done on purpose for the insurance money. No one there, holiday weekend, lax guards. if they had a camera, where was the guy that was supposed to be watching them?

Damn it, Huck, why are you always thinking? That's a really good question. Are those kinds of surveillance cameras always manned? On site? Or maybe someone like Brinks? It has to be fairly costly to have a dedicated set of eyes on the cameras.
