Many of these are quite interesting. Due to the size of the file I have posted them here Extinct in the USA
As an example:
23. Classified Ads
The Internet has made so many things obsolete that newspaper classified ads might sound like just another trivial item on a long list. But this is one of those harbingers of the future that could signal the end of civilization as we know it. The argument is that if newspaper classifieds are replaced by free online listings at sites like Craigslist.org and Google Base, then newspapers are not far behind them.

Did I miss something? How does the guy plunging the pot relate to this??? lol
The horses, bees, trees and crabs would be the worst of it. Man made things have to adapt to what is necessary and popular at the time. I can't imagine looking fondly at an answering machine someday and going, "Oh, remember when?" I would miss the nostalgia of the drive in movie though...
The drive-in in Kenosha is very popular!
Too bad some of these other things will disappear. The wild horses, that's really sad.
kk, it's hard to slip one by you. I didn't even think of the guy with the plunger. Maybe that's #25 to go extinct: plungers, or plumbers, or toilets?
Too many things listed to talk about them all. We're just on the verge of the ash tree disaster here. A few more years... The bee decline could have worldwide effects on agriculture. VHS was always a crappy way to reproduce movies. I thought milkmen were already extinct/obsolete. Ditto for drive-ins except for a few specialty ones like the Keno. I wondered about cameras that use film as I waited in line at Walgreens today, but there seemed to be a lot of people picking up photos.
Maybe it is handyman butt cracks that will become extinct? ;>
I enjoy the outdoor also.
When Mid City was open we use to go 3 or 4 times a week. It was a great place to drink without worring about the cops.
