Mary Todd Gets Her Nose Job
At East Park, on the Racine Gateway campus, this morning. The man said that Abe's nose needed some work, too - it was cracking. Dang-gum youth of today!
I was reading in the book Chippecotton by David Kherdian (ok dont hold me to that spelling, I'm doing that from memory) and the reason they have a statue of Mary Todd there is because she would walk up and down in that area when she was staying here in Racine, after her husband was killed, she found it to be beautiful and relaxing. Their son attended college at the short lived Racine College. I'm sure most of you know that kind of history but I'm just discovering it. Very fascinating.
Were those your pictures? Should have sold em to that crippled paper here in town
ReplyDeleteit was cracking...
ReplyDeleteIsn't that where crack is suppose to go, up your nose?

ReplyDeleteI didn't know that. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteIt's also the only statue in which Mary Todd is standing and the president is seated.

They don't seriously consider us competition, do they? I just happened to see the guy on the statue and stopped to snap some pics.
It is only breaking news at 9 pm after they stole it from us at 6 pm...
