BECKER TO ENTER PLEA

From the Journal Times:

"RACINE - Former mayor Gary Becker is no longer expected to go to trial for allegedly going to a mall to meet a teenage girl for sex.

"According to online court records, Becker, who was due in court Thursday for a motion hearing, will instead appear in court next week to enter a plea to at least some of the charges against him. Thursday's hearing was canceled."

They've cut a deal. Nieskes is staying mum. I think I'm going to gag.

You know he's walking. Slap on the wrist. Worst Christmas present ever for the decent people of Racine, Wisconsin.

  1. Here is my read on the situation:

5 years in prison – STAYED
    Plus
Time spent in jail and time spent wearing a GPS device
    Plus
    5 years probation

Combined will be his punishment. Becker was arrested Jan. 13, which now is almost 1 year so he is already down to 4 years left.

  2. Becker Walks, the DA should be impeached. This sick bastard needs to sit in jail.

  3. When he walks, I think a rally should be held on Monument Square or something. I'm serious. The people of Racine will need an outlet for their fear and frustration; I mean, the real people of Racine, the ones who still work for and care about the city, not the thieves at City Hall or the crooks in the courthouse. I hope Tony Larsen or somebody gets something together for people to share their feelings and grief. If you just keep jamming this crap down, trying to stifle it, it explodes later in twisted ways. We'll need a shaman or a spiritual healer to help us ward off the bad vibes and filth that our "leaders" bring upon us.

  4. I saw this last night and was too overwhelmed to post anything.

I remember back when the story originally broke, some were saying he would walk free. After reading that chat, I just couldn't believe ANYONE could walk free who wrote such horribly awful things to a child. Not to mention that they found many other chats that were not revealed.

I am still horrified now that it appears as if this prophecy could come true.

  6. I couldn't tell you, anon, maybe it is he, himself making those posts. I don't read there too often. You usually get what you ask for when you dig in the trash to find your reading material.

  7. If he does walk, I might have to bring a special bird of the week back! I was trying to wait until after Christmas.

  8. I don't think the judge has to necessarily deliver the sentence at the hearing. Becker's pleading Tuesday. That's all we know for sure.

What if he manned up and pled guilty to every charge? What if all that therapy and those meetings and whatever else he's doing started to work?
