With the passing of 2009, we say goodbye to the International Year of Astronomy (although the closing ceremony is in Italy in a couple of weeks) and the Year of Science. Hope you observed the Year of the Gorilla and the International Year of Natural Fibers.
With 2010, we welcome the International Year of Biodiversity, the International Year of the Nurse, the International Year for the Reapproachment of Cultures, and the International Year of Communication (which, ironically, I have been unable to find a website for it but there are many references to it if you google it).
Sounds like a party year to me!
