OK gang, it's time to brighten things up. With all the negativity in the news lately,
it's down-right depressing.
This blog is a shout out to anything positive,
encouraging, or just plain awesome.
Is there somewhere you went that wow'd you?
Is there anyone that just really made your day?
This is mine.
This was an awesome and above and WAY beyond
reward for the incredible job my
drive thru did last Thursday.
We watch our drive thru times daily.
I gave them a challenge that they
blew out of the water!
I made a deal with the owner of Larsen's Bakery
on Hy 20. Really nice guy!
I told him about my challenge and he loved the idea.
If we made our breakfast DT times of 75 sec or less
then they would earn humongous donuts.
There is no stronger driving force that food!
Well, my gang ended Thursday breakfast at 69.
I went straight up to show him, and
couldn't be more proud.
Today, he not only made the ones
we agreed on but even more,
AND delivered them.
Each of the above donuts are more than
1 foot in diameter, just enormous!!
Thank you Don and the Larsen's gang!!!

What is awesome?? spring is definitely in the air.. The sun has been shining and is supposed to be for the rest of the week.. has lifted my spirits beyond belief..
Missing all the bakeries in WI....
For the positive, I do believe I will have my office back up and running by the weekend! Only have the doorway to the new closet to paint and that really isn't near my work area, so I do believe I can begin getting my new desk in there and ordering a new bookcase and a credenza.
Like Beejay I miss all the bakeries in Wisconsin.
Positive - it is 65 here right now and I just got back from walking the dog. Golly its nice to be able to go outside and really enjoy the sunshine.
Nice here today, as well, Mary....we have been having some pretty cool weather for Florida...finally looks like spring is coming our way.....
I Love the warm weather!! I have been doing errands without a jacket on, and it feels great!!
I don't mind that it is going to rain, it could very well be snow still, I'll take the rain and I hope it washes my car nicely while it's coming down :)
another awesome person I know we refer to as 'the good Samaritan lady'.
She comes thru DT every Friday and pays for whoever is behind her, no matter how much they have. It makes her happy and makes her day. I tried this 2 weeks ago in Taco Bells DT and it does feel great and was tons of fun, since I know the look of bewilderment the Taco Bell guy will get when he told them :)
Random acts of kindness ROCK!
I am upright (mostly) and walking (kinda), so it's a good day.
Yesterday evening I narrowly avoided what could have been a very nasty accident at 5th and Wisconsin. For people heading west on 5th, it's a blind intersection and they need to be very careful. Some guy wasn't yesterday and almost creamed me. I locked my brakes and cranked the wheel at the same time. I still thought he would hit me. But he didn't. In fact, he didn't even acknowledge me and just drove on. I managed to yell out "Fork you!" but I'm mostly just grateful to be alive. That's very positive.
I've been trying, I got nothing!

I think we'll have to do a positive blog every now and then, we can always use the boost.
I'm positively thrilled at the positive possibilities of a recurring positive blog. Thank you, Ms. Lizardmom, for reminding us of the good in our lives.
