A place I like to go to get cheese and many other good things is Tenuta’s Deli in Kenosha. To bad Racine does not have a store like this, but then I guess we have bakeries.

  1. I found the best cheese is bought from farmers up north. I don't like cheese but the curds are tasty and squeeky. Love them (from un north tho).

  2. I'm out of WI cheese....back to that darn Kraft crap...I do get Cabot's from Vermont, but they really don't have any WI cheese down here....boo-hoo...whine, whine...sniffle, sniffle.

  3. Tenuta's in Kenosha is great. I love their outdoor grilling in the summer. A buddy and I used to drive there once a week just to get a brat or Italian sausage.

  4. Beejay, if you try hennings, you have to try the heritage white cheddar with garlic and dill; it is to die for!

Orbs, maybe a brat at tenuta's for an informal, mini get-together this summer? Let's keep coming up with (excuses) reasons to plan....

  5. Wait, I had some Heritage Cheese...my niece must have sent it to me....I love my WI cheese...but Grandma eats it all up...I tried hiding it at the back of the top shelf of the refrigerator....this little old lady with osteoporosis (who can't reach anything in a cabinet or close a cabinet door) managed to get to it and eat it.....

So okay, I'll go to those sites and order my own cheese....wimper, wimper, whine, whine....

  7. Henning's is AWESOME! I buy their cheese curds often. The salami cheddar is to die for! I'll go though a whole brick in a few hours.

Never been to Tenuta's. I gotta try that place...

  9. Tenuta's is also across the street from Ron's Place, which has great pub food. I've taken a number of friends there.
