Man, I had a sh*t day. Why does that happen sometime? Is it just statistically certain that bad events will come to take place in sequence on a given day? You know that you're having a bad day, and you vow that you're not going to let it get you down or let it continue, but somehow events conspire to make sure that it still stinks.
I was out driving when that big storm blew through late this afternoon. I saw a big tree branch hit a house. A lot of branches were in the streets. I guess if I was having a really bad day, I would have been hit, but I made it home OK. I hope everyone else is alright.
My Friday started out with lots of plans.... Which all fell through. grrrrr
Reserved a truck to move ...... called an hour before we were to pick it up and the guy says.. huh?? we don't have any trucks available this weekend.
Oookay.... call around.. there is NO WHERE that has anything available! WTF??!! Didn't eat anything until 3 pm.. started feeling a little woozy!
Dave needs to be in MN on Monday. We have to get us and our stuff to his Dad's house this weekend. Did I mention he's been working 14+ hours a day since Memorial Day? We are both tired, stressed and cranky.
Minnie (dog) hurt her leg, so she's not helping things either.
Seems like most of my friends are not being very happy that we are moving on. That hurts.
oh, so now that there are NO TRUCKS available in the whole frigging city, my husband has to make THREE trips back and forth from here to up north in one day!!!!!!
Nothing but heat here...really not that bad. In a few weeks the humidity will go up...that's when it gets brutal. If you want some lesson in stats and the effects of humidity research the average daily high and low temps in Tucson...they don't follow the patterns you might expect!
Friday was a pretty good day, only a couple bumps along the way but not bad at all :)
DA , I hope you are able to get moved in time and are able to get settled in nicely without much trouble. we will miss you in person but it's so nice that thru here, it's like you never left. When you do come back to town, please let me know so we can get together and see you again - it was so nice to finally meet you!!
TGIF!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like it has been a long week. I've started my summer task list and accomplished a lot of things already. Yea!
ReplyDeleteI like the picture. The kid has the expression on his face like the diaper is in overflow mode.

Yeah.. the weather isn't helping much either...
So that is my weekend rant.
Goodbye Racine..
And high speed internet!

ReplyDeleteGood times........
and I have a head cold.
ReplyDeleteAm I pathetic, or what?? LOL
I like a good thunderstorm. The skies were dark and ominous. I lit some candles... it was almost as dark as night in the house!
ReplyDeleteI was out in round #2. Branches were everywhere. Big trees snapped. Zoltar must have ticked off Mother Nature again.

I hope that things smooth out for DA, too. Moving is never fun.
ReplyDeleteDid anybody go to the Lighthouse Run? I was out afterwards, but generally try to avoid the crowd scenes.
LM, it was really nice meeting you and your family, too.
ReplyDeleteWell, we made it. DH makes one more trip tomorrow morning. It's surprising how much you can (and can not) fit in a mid size car!
I'm sure at some point we will be back in Racine for a visit. I will let you know!
