Wednesday is beautiful here.. sunny and warm but for once in quite awhile not too warm for us poor saps without AC... This Wednesday is also the last (hopefully) Wednesday that I will be using glasses.. I get my eyes fixed on Tuesday..
Guess what I got? A baby seat for my car at no cost. The reasoning is that I take my son, his girlfriend and their baby daughter shoppong and they don't have a car. Naturally when I take them I could get arrested for no proper seat for the baby so I got one yesterday. FREE Thank the whole world for caring about people with limited income!!! Yeah!!!!
Yes you're next, you're so next How about a nice close shave Teach your whiskers to behave Lots of lather lots of soap Please hold still don't be a dope Now we're ready for the scraping There's no use to try escaping Yell & scream & rant & rave It's no use you need a shave!
Overall,Lasik gives good results. I am holding out as it can result in nigh halos. This are a side effect that most have but few notice. It usually only occurs at night when your pupil is very dilated...like when you are observing faint astronomical objects. Most people don't notice it under normal circumstances, however and I have lots of friends who have had good results from Lasik (but the astronomers tend to avoid it).
My eye doctor mentioned Lasik a few years ago saying I would be a good candidate based on my eye health and prescription. When I mentioned my astronomy and that I heard about that effect, she said I would not be a good candidate for Lasik.
I don't mind saying, I wish my eye doctor were single...she is smart, a runner and stunning and can look into my eyes any day.
I'm fixing nearsightedness and astigmatism.. I have a pretty brutal prescription and it's quite expensive to get new glasses so this is an investment.. I'm not actually do LASIK they believed that I would have better results with LASEK which is basically the same thing but the difference how they get at your eye.. They did say my night vision could get worse to begin with (nothing specific about halos) but that it would get better with time..
So look forward to getting it done.. bought myself my first pair of sunglasses in YEARS... wish me luck!!
Good luck, Why Not. The reason I asked is because I have eye problems and I'm generally interested in vision issues. Mom has macular degeneration and it has gotten pretty bad. There's nothing they can do for it.
I'm tardy. I lost count of what number I am. I have nothing to say, except ouch. The chiropractor has been brutal on me this week. Sat with ice all afternoon. Kill or cure method, I guess.
I'm half crazy, all for the love of you. It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage. But, you'll look sweet, upon a seat, of a bicycle built for two.
I remember all the ditties, but can't find my glasses or my keys.
Stormy afternoon/evening here today. Guess it's heading your way now! It did break up long enough for the sunset to peek out and send a beautiful rainbow! Then 10 minutes later it was storming again. 102* in MN today!!
well DA I will give you a good idea how it was.. hopefully it goes well enough to encourage you to get it done..
KK I love that song.. I sing it to my girls all the time..
Orbs, I'm sorry to hear they can't do anything for your moms eyes.. I truly didn't think they would be able to do anything with mine because my eyes are really bad.. but according to them I am a perfect candidate for it.. so here's to hoping!!
ooo, 1st to christen this one, now if I only had some deep thoughts to share...

ReplyDeleteWhy Not, are you getting Lasik surgery to correct near or far-sightedness? I've heard of good results from that.
