woohoo, I'm first this time.. Hope all is going well.. My eye surgery was just over a week ago and I'm getting better everyday.. I can sit probably a whole 1-1½ feet away from the screen now..
I was told that my vision would be good enough to drive in 1-2 weeks.. I don't know if I would go driving quite yet only because my eyes get quite dry quickly and that makes my vision worse.. after about 3 weeks it should be pretty good and should be pretty much stable after 3 months but the difference after these first couple of weeks to the 3 months should be pretty noticeable by me.
I would love to tell you DA that it was a breeze and you should definitely do it.. I did the LASEK (compared to LASIK)which is a little rougher on the patient (but better outcomes with those with bigger vision problems like I had) so the first 2 days were torture.. once they took out my contact bandages (as they called them) I felt a lot better but it was still pretty rough for another half day.. my light sensitivity was awful.. I blocked off all of the windows with blankets and wore sun glasses the first 3-4 days and would still have to put a towel over my eyes to rest them from the light.. I was not able to watch TV or have the computer on as that little light was awful.. I mostly got some books on tape and laid down and listened to them to entertain myself and slept..
My vision is pretty good but it's still like I'm wearing a pair of dirty contact lenses, but everyday they are getting less dirty..
all in all I'm glad I did it.. and I'm sure I'll be happy with it once I remember that I do not need to take off my glasses at night or look for them first thing in the morning..

ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday!
That's a cute picture!!
ReplyDeleteWhy Not, glad to hear you are seeing better. How long did they tell you before your sight will be normal?
I heard a rumor that you folks in WI are expecting a visitor??
Good to hear, Why Not. I hope everything progresses well.
ReplyDeleteDA, do you mean the president? I heard he was going to visit Milwaukee in August. I wonder what that will cost them.
