I would have loved to have worked this game, but I was doing one in Milwaukee. It is for this very reason, that I whenever I go to watch a game, I have my game bag packed and ready to go in the truck "just in case".
The JT site is ripping Jeff Miller. I've worked with this guy... and no comment from me. (gg) I'm really wondering if he screwed up or not. What a major gaff, I'm sure attendance was huge. They are very lucky there wasn't a stampede or someone getting hurt.
I saw some shirtless students with full Park body paint walking down 21st street earlier in the evening already celebrating the evening. High schoolers get very pumped up for a city-to-city game, especially if it is a special game, like Homecoming.
Why no referees? Who usually does it?

And speaking from experience, half the people get pissed when the referees DO show up.
