I had an idea but didn’t know if it would work. Well, there are miracles that happen in Racine and we can thank Dave from Dino’s Restaurant for it!"No child in Racine should ever go without the basics to keep warm during these winter months, they should never go hungry or without a pair of socks.
"Dino’s Italian Restaurant is pleased to announce the “Miracle on 16th Street” pasta dinner fundraiser. It will be held Monday December 13th, from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. located at 1816 16th Street.
"Delivery/carryout will be running the same special until 11 p.m. (delivery charge not included). There will also be raffles and coupon offers along with a special guest waitstaff. Dino’s is also running a special the entire week until December 19th. Any pasta dish ordered. $4.00 will be donated towards this effort.
"All proceeds are going to be donated to SafeHaven and Cheryl Holewinski at Julien Thomas School to get the necessary items that the children need."

This is a great thing. It is so refreshing when you read that businesses in Racine are stepping up for wonderful causes. A toast to Dino's and to the two gentlemen who put on the Thanksgiving dinner for those in need!

Interesting. I scheduled this blog to be posted at 6 AM 12/11/10, but right now it's 12/10/10, 10:50 PM and the blog already appears. Although the day says Saturday and 6:00 AM, it is currently Friday night. I guess it appears because it was already published? Or am I in the Twilight Zone?
I don't know. Who cares. Buy some spaghetti. Help out a good cause.
Thanks for reposting this. I cannot thank Dave and Dino's enough for what they are doing and everyone from the volunteers to the businesses that have come forward, there are really good people in this town!

I have no idea. You could probably contact "Dave" through RacineUncovered - I think he's their connection to Dino's.
