Happy Wednesday... hoping it goes fast, couldn't sleep last night, and can't wait to crawl back in bed and try again later..
Christmas is coming too fast, I'm not ready and won't be ready for it to be over yet either, I like my tree being lit up, adds a nice cheeriness to this cold weather :)
At first I thought it was a button, but looking more closely, I'm wondering if the picture might not be part of the exterior amplifier for a cochlear implant?
More and more hearing impaired children are sporting these. The technology has been around long enough now that it is getting more prevalent in older children. They have even gotten to the point where they are decorative and almost a fashion choice unique to the wearer.
kk, my audiologist showed me the newest fashionable hearing aids and the colors they come in. Seems children are needing aids as early as 12 due to the iPod and MP3players. They are becoming more and more of a fashion statement. How sad.
I've read that, beejay. The ones I am seeing are children who have been deaf since birth. They have had the implants and the "buttons" attached to their scalp are external receptors/magnifiers.

OK I'm going to ask you...On my TV it says 7:00 NO STRING 10:00 NO STRING. What it that NO STRING mean?
It means the same thing that the picture for this blog does: ?

OK, I had to put on my Christmas hat, too.
I never thought of hearing aids as fashion accessories.
