Question ...do you think it's rude to not wait on a customer who is using his cell phone..choosing to tell them 'I'll wait til you are finished" or should the customer be right?
Sassa - it is not rude at all on your part; that falls to them. I'm off now until Monday. Yee haw. Now if you will excuse me, I have to go clean the bathrooms.
Sassa, I hope the other customers took note of the customer's rudeness. I would take the road, you did. It's about time, we demanded these things be silenced when in banks, post offices, at all checkout counters. Rude, rude, rude!
well Sassa, here is what I do, and I deal with ALOT of rude phone people. If you are in line, or at my speaker and I can see or hear you are on your stupid phone, I still greet you as if you're not, you are, after all, there to be taken care of, so I ignore the fact that they are driving me nuts and try to drown out the other person so they KNOW I want to get their order and get their annoying selves away from the nice people... I've been shushed, and I just give a 'are you kidding' look, did I mention YOU got in line?? feel free to step aside or go away instead, by all means, mr rude customer... I try to fake niceness while making sure it's fairly obvious they're annoying me, right thing to do, probably not, but makes me feel a little satisfied, maybe one day they will learn to be more courteous, good luck Sassa, the fun is just beginning, they are so rude this time of year :(
Sassa, he was a creep...no manners, no sense of what is correct behavior in public places. I'm with Logjam, tell him to put it in that dark place...I love that saying, LJ!
Sassa, you should probably talk to your boss and find out what store policy is in such a situation. I agree that the a-hole on the phone was rude. I encounter rude people on cell phones too often.

I would tell them if they want their order taken, they should take that phone and shove it in a dark place.........like their pocket.
Merry Christmas!
