not looking good, input please guys...

UPDATE - the picnic is CANCELLED, again. The weather refuses to cooperate with us. Perhaps a winter get-together would be more to Mother Nature's liking.

*******************************************

The following is my comment under our Friday open blog.
Tomorrow's weather doesn't sound very inviting, what do you guys think?

Mme. Z, you're SO grounded!!
here are the forecasts I have gotten -

all agree on 60ish, not horrible really but add to that ...

weatherbonk says 40% chance of rain

Accuweather says rain at 1 and mid afternoon, and is precise is saying that we will get .61 inches - how funny is that??? not just .6 but .61, hilarious!!

Channel 12 says rain and channel 6 says storms, I think this one is a wash (yes, pun intended)

I would open the offer to our house but we're under serious renovation projects and I don't have much house to move around in up OR downstairs, I think we should maybe plan on the Irregular Christmas party, if it's not storming then, we could still cook-out :)

What do you guys think? dig in our heels and hope to pull it off or surrender to Mother Natures revenge on Mme. Z?

The Scariest Job on Earth

I do not do well with heights. There is no way I could ever do that. Never. I get nosebleeds on the third floor.

Question of the Day

When a woman is pregnant, how does her body determine what type of blood her baby will have?

A+, B+, AB-....I don’t know. Does her tummy flip and quarter and say, “this is it”?

Welcome aboard, Biggie D!

I would like to extend a warm welcome to Biggie D who has finally taken the plunge and become a JTIrregular.

Now, however, we have to go in search of an Avatar for him...Suggestions... Mine, of course appears above!

Four for Fridays

Hello everybody! Another Friday is here! This one came up rather quickly! This weeks' questions are about locations.

1) Where were you born?

2) Where do you live?

3) If nothing was a factor where do you want to live?

4) Where would you want to visit?

Enjoy your weekend!

"Family Angry at Misdemeanor Charge in Fatal Crash"

In Milwaukee, another illegal flaunts our laws and kills another citizen. The possible punishment? 9 months in jail - if he shows up in court.

Party on, swine.

The Original Human PAC-MAN Performance by Guillaume Reymond

PAC-MAN was played by real human-beings sitting in a cinema: it's the 5th video performance of the GAME OVER Project from the French-Swiss artist Guillaume Reymond. This stop-motion video was shot and played for the new ProHelvetia's programme GameCulture http://www.gameculture.ch at the Trafo cinema (Baden, Switzerland) on August 28th 2010. This giant game was played by 111 human pixels that has moved from seat to seat during more than 4 hours..."

I never was very good at Pac-Man. Pinball was more my game. But I thought this video was cute.

Dear Madame Zoltar

Hello, my luscious lollipops! How are you? Has everyone gotten over their disappointment concerning the cancelled picnic? Oh dear, I am so, so sorry for my botched prediction. Even the best can’t claim 100% accuracy, but I feel very bad for having let down my beloved Irregulars. I’ve said in the past that I don’t like to deal with Mother Nature because she is so unpredictable. Despite my misgivings, I asked her what she had planned for us on Saturday. She said the storm front was going to split before it reached Racine, with half passing to our north and the other half to our south. Like a fool, I believed her. Oh my, when will I learn?

I received a rather disturbing email this week from someone named “l_O_o_n_E_y_T_U_n_E_s”. The message contained links to the two videos which appear below, apparently the work of the same person.

First is “Hand Thing:”

Second is “Kitty Candy:”

Those videos are on the YouTube channel of “ShayeSaintJohn:” http://www.youtube.com/user/ShayeSaintJohn, where many more are available. Why Mr. or Ms. T_U_n_E_s sent me links to those videos, I have no idea. I find them fairly disturbing, yet somewhat interesting, like an automobile accident. Oh my, I just shivered! I tried replying to the original email, but it is a no-reply account. Please, Mr. or Ms. T_U_n_E_s, if you are reading this, please do not send me anymore links to anything else, period, please. Those videos skewed my aura for the rest of the day. In my business, if your aura is skewed, you are screwed.

Now that Wisconsin’s primary is over, we can expect the gloves to come off in some of our local races. I sincerely hope that everyone involved does their best to avoid the nastiness and negativity that have filtered into many of our political debates. Please, let’s try to keep it civil. No matter who wins or loses what, we all have to live together.

Well, that’s my blog for this week, my dears. Think of it as a creepy preview of Halloween, soon to be splattered all over every store you enter. Thank you so much for spending time with me. I love you, my friends, and I look forward to seeing you all at the picnic this Saturday.

Please send your comments, questions, or DNA samples to: madamezoltar@jtirregulars.com.

Enjoy the cooler weather. At least, I think it’s cooler. Now I’m afraid to say anything about the weather. Enjoy whatever climatic conditions occur. There, that should cover it. Advection!

Monday Noon Grin

I met a fairy today who said she would grant me one wish.

"I want to live forever," I said.

"Sorry" said the fairy, "I'm not allowed to grant wishes like that!"

"Fine," I said, "In that case, I want to die the day after the Democrats get their heads out of their asses!"

"You crafty bastard," said the fairy

Making the best of a terrible situation

I ran across this online playing on youtube and since then have been a little on the obsessed side. You might have heard of him because as I understand it he's quite well known, but you know I'm not always up on things. The is a man that was diagnosed with multi-drug resistant TB and was quarantined for about 6 months in a tiny hospital room. To occupy his time he started making little videos and writing songs and poems and spreading them out on youtube.. I am thoroughly entertained by him.. Here is probably his most well known rap and it makes me giggle..

If you have the time you should really look through the rest of his stuff.. Most of it is quite funny but others are very thought provoking.

Budweiser Commercial about 9/11/01

Our friend cyndi sent this in an email. The video description states: "This is the commercial spot Budweiser produced after 9-11. It aired only once. They only aired it once so as not to benefit financially from it - they just wanted to acknowledge the tragic event. This is so consistent with a company who always does things with a ton of class. Can you imagine what the cost was considering production, air time, etc.?"

Don't Mock "Bongo Jesus"

"Wisconsin police say a street musician apparently upset by criticism of his music bashed a man over the head with his guitar, slammed another person into a wall and wrestled with an officer before being arrested.

"Madison police spokesman Joel DeSpain tells The Capital Times that 31-year-old Brandin Hochstrasser, known as 'Bongo Jesus,' was performing Thursday when a 54-year-old man knocked his music. DeSpain says the two argued and police were called when Hochstrasser began hitting his critic with his guitar.

"DeSpain says Hochstrasser then charged the man, knocking him down. An officer used a stun gun to subdue and arrest Hochstrasser."

Everybody is ticked off these days...
