"Brett Favre Karma Shot Called By John Madden"
Take THAT, Brett, from some of your still sore ex-fans.

Four for Fridays
Hello everyone! Just another week come and gone...but thanking God it's Friday. This week's questions about personalities.
1) Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert?
2) What best describes your personality?
3) How do you feel about speaking in front of a group of people?
4) If there was something about yourself that you could change, what would it be?
Enjoy your weekend!

Laurie Anderson - "Big Science"
One of my all time favorite songs (from the album of the same name) by one of my all time favorite performers. Mme. Zoltar's comment, "Don't forget your sweater," made me think of this song's line, "Don't forget your mittens."
Elder Abuse
Okay, let's really talk about elder abuse.
I took my 95-1/2 year old Mother In Law to her supposed doctor on Monday. The doctor asks her how she is doing and out of the blue, she says her 'tail-bone' hurts. This doctor looks and says it is a level 1 wound! Home Health Care! (Nothing had been said to me before this visit about any problem...)
On Tuesday, Home Health Care comes and looks at her butt and the nurses come out and say to me, 'did the Doctor look at her butt?' Yep, she did...it is DIAPER RASH. So off to the store I go to get Balmex (diaper rash balm). Today, they return and, guess what it is healing up very nicely. Again, I am asked 'did the doctor really look at this?' Yep, she did, I respond! And Grandma has no more pain! Duh.,...now the doctor wanted an x-ray...not gonna happen...I doubt we need one for DIAPER RASH! The Home Health Care Nurse told my MIL to not do it unless she felt it necessary. Grandma doesn't want any x-ray...to do this to a woman with severe osteoporosis is not a good idea. She could end up with more injured vertebra(sp).
Next, they decide a physical therapist should come in and check on her walker and how she walks. Remember her age, 95-1/2 years old! The PT commends me on the bathroom set-up...grab bars, shower seat, assist on the toilet...you name it, it is in her bathroom...thank God I had just cleaned up after her. Whew. But this bathroom has been evaluated twice before by PTs, so I was waiting for this gal to find something wrong...nothing...BUT the doctor had told me I should have someone come in an evaluate it a few months ago. I refused. Told her I had my home evaluated THREE times so far and as far as I was concerned, it was just fine. Good grief. I have more grab bars than a nursing home!
Oh yeah, there is more: Nine more times the PT is coming to try and improve her strength...(WTH???) And additionally, an Occupational Therapist is going to come cuz Grandma complained about her shoulder, which she broke 12 (yep, 12) years ago! Oh, come on now...do we need intervention by someone on this stuff. You think you are going to improve her pain level after 12 years? Get off it. Oh and she should stand up straighter. Never in all the time I have known this woman, has she stood erect. What next, they break her back?
Here is the best part, I had been trying for the longest time to get her to purchase a new walker...nope, 'I'm not going to live long enough to get my money's worth out of it!' Biggie D tells her she has no option, she has to do it...has me drive her to the Medical Supply house, picks one out for her and convinces her that she has to do it. I thank God for him every day.
I, as a caregiver, cannot refuse anything that is being suggested for fear of being charged with neglect or elder abuse. What a world we live in! Even if you know it is crap, there isn't much you can do...you have to allow the 'professionals' to do their jobs and get the $$$$ out of the system.
I feel so much better now. Thanks for allowing me to vent.
One last thing, when her insurance changes 11/1, so does her doctor!

Dear Madame Zoltar
Hello, my merry mums! How are you? Oh my, my, my, the weather has been simply gorgeous. We are so fortunate. All the trees and shrubs turning colors, it’s so beautiful. Mr. drewzepmeister posted some lovely pictures of the fall foliage below. Thank you, Mr. drew. Mother Nature sure has been smiling upon us lately. Thank you, Mother Nature. I hope that your disposition towards us stays cheery in the months ahead.
I can’t think of much to cheer up our beloved Green Bay Packers. Oh dear. The injuries are hurting them. At this point, we don’t even know if Aaron Rodgers will start the game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. If only Brett Favre had stayed on to guide Rodgers in his new position, but nooooOOO! Bigshot Favre couldn’t let go of the limelight. Now where’s it gotten him? Have you heard the latest about him? Oh dear, indeed.
Nothing exciting happened to me this week like last week’s Ferris wheel breakdown. Just another run-of-the-mill week in the life of an everyday psychic. The upcoming election has scads of campaign literature arriving in my mail each day. I promptly put all of it in the recycle bin, no matter which candidate it is from. It’s such a lovely cycle. The flyers and postcards will be recycled into paper that new flyers and postcards will be printed on and then mailed out again to homes everywhere where they’ll be put into recycle bins again. And that’s what keeps the economy going. Money made from the economy also keeps the political ads going on television. I’m not sure of how much more of those I can stand. I hit the mute button whenever I hear one, but I’m still exposed to the occasional one when I’m in the kitchen or another room and the TV is on. Those are worse than ads for bodily functions we’d rather not think about. So far, my best solution has been to turn off the TV entirely.
Here’s something to watch as an alternative to TV. Cute bunnies being cute. Enjoy the soothing video of Twin Rabbit:
Thank you for stopping by to read my blog, my dear friends. It is always a pleasure to spend time with the Irregular crew and companions. I love each and every one of you and have placed a special autumnal blessing upon you. We harvest what we sow.
Please send your questions, or answers, to: madamezoltar@jtirregulars.com.
Take a look at the colors of fall while they’re still up. It’s a beautiful time of year, and a beautiful time to share. Don’t forget your sweater. Paramnesia!

"Transformers Bumblebee Crashes Into Police S.U.V. While Filming"
"A police S.U.V. was speeding to a crime scene in Washington on Monday when it was hit by a bright yellow Chevrolet Camaro. The crunch was captured by several video cameras, like the one that shot the footage above.
"The collision was also captured, no doubt, by several movie cameras because the Camaro, one of the main movie cars in the 'Transformers 3' movie, was filming a scene.
"Yes, Bumblebee, the name of the Camaro’s character in the movie, crashed into a real (albeit wayward) police vehicle, en route to investigate a suspicious package, reported The Washington Post."

Poor Bumblebee! They covered him up right away to avoid traumatizing fans.
Is The Rumor True?
I have been told that the male CEO of a large and well known Racine company has been picked up drunk, wandering around the eastern portions of Four Mile Road wearing women's night clothing. My source swears this is true and has happened at least twice. Has anyone else heard anything?
