Even though the blizzard is over, be careful out there.

  2. I just bought a new car, but no way to get it. Bought a used State agency Taurus Station wagon. It's located all the way out in mt. Horeb. What a rotten time for everyone to be snowed in.

  7. Hey, at least when one of those humungous snowplows go by and buries the others, that guy will still be able to find his car.

  8. 21st street was only open 2 lanes.... on the left side of the road by KMart. I had to drive on the wrong side of the street. Eerie! It was so strange looking out there, easy to become disorientated. I feel so bad for that woman that got lost going up her driveway and didn't make it. She was only 52 years old.

Last night, 6 pm.....knock at the door. You will NEVER guess who it was! John Dickert! He was personally out handling a "parking problem" someone reported. Well, hello! Isn't everyone having a parking related problem??
Evidently, they didn't give an exact address. Shouldn't he have other more pressing mayoring things to be handling??????? Oh, I forgot.... crime is at 1966 rates.

  10. KK, seriously?!?! He came out in that mess to talk about a parking issue?!?!? from the sounds of things, they should just be happy that the cars that were abandoned in the middle of the roads are cleared away.. He's a great mayor isn't he.. uhem... wish I could vote in the upcoming election..

  11. KK - I gotta say I think it was a nice touch that he came to your door. Even if it was the wrong one. Usually you see them on the tv taking responsibility and then they go hide in their offices.

I am concerned for those trying to get to the game. Mother Nature is not being nice. I truly hope the people that paid those obscene prices for tickets get to see it inside the stadium and not some airport hangar.

    GO PACK GO!!!!

  12. Wow, kk, you are someone special to get a personal visit from hizzoner on a night like that. You sure he isn't trying to infiltrate the Irregulars?

Mary, I hear over and over on the weather news that Oklahoma is getting slammed. Sorry.

Huck, I first saw my truck online on eBay, but I wouldn't buy a vehicle without looking at it. It was at a dealership in suburban Chicago. The online auction ended without the truck selling, so I contacted them and drove down and ended up buying it.

They've already removed a lot of snow from downtown and Main St. & Wisconsin Ave. They were still plowing out Janes School when I drove to mom's this morning. kk, how was attendance at school today?

  13. I'm such a suck up.... I even shook his hand and told him to be careful out there. But, not before I asked him if he'd do a bit of shoveling while he was here! Now, I've outed myself. Now I have to behave. He knows where I live! I should have asked him if he's seen some of my cartoons...

  14. School attendance was way down. Some classes had more students than others. I'm guessing, maybe 1/2 of the population? Hard to say.
