I think I posted something once of theirs, from The Today Show? I couldn't find the reference.
The two founders of Tom Tom Club (husband and wife) were originally in The Talking Heads with David Byrne. Might be my all time favorite song, "Take Me to the River" and who can forget Psycho Killer, qu'est-ce que c'est?
I saw Byrne a few years ago in Milwaukee. He is getting up there in years, but to watch him perform and move about the stage, you'd never guess it. He still "has" it and I'm a sucker for it! ;>
kk, David has done so many guest spots and solo colabarations. His and Brian Eno's song "Strange Overtones" has been getting alot of ipod play on my end.
Byrne is a very intelligent and interesting man. Have you ever read his personal page? He writes a diary, of sorts, with his thoughts, recollections and daily agenda. He's an avid bike rider and one who cares a lot about the environment. He takes a bicycle with him on tour. He often talks about the cities he visits and his adventures while on tour.
interesting..... hmmm
