KK... plastics & latex the way of the future. I think I'll stick to selling bras and bros or manzeres, whatever. Sure have Mr Vandelay contact my people and we'll see what works for him. lol. Boy, Dustin was a handsome young lad, I must say. Is it wrong for a man to think another man is handsome?
Whenever I had one of these... it would take days to sort through, price and assemble it into something presentable. I would then sit out int the yard, with my trash and let everyone come by and judge my stuff. Yep, $10.00. At the end of the day it reminded me of one of my mom's jokes:
A man and a woman were having financial difficulties. He told his wife they had no other option than for her to go sell herself on the street. At 5:30 am the next morning, she came slithering in, plopped her money on the table.... The man counted $7.10. He irately said, "who was the a-hole who gave you the dime? She replied.... "They ALL did."
I have a buddy in Milwaukee who is addicted to rummage sales. He canNOT drive by one without stopping. My dad did that in his later years, too. I used to enjoy them somewhat, but not at all now. I go to secondhand stores for clothing items, but I don't wander around looking at stuff. I go in, get what I need, and get out.
When I lived in chicago, they had 1 day a year where you could put whatever trash you wanted to out, anything you could imagine, and they would take it away,. Well the night before the pick up day, after all the junk was out, it was time to get some wine out and just watch the people come thru and go thru your junk... free people watching( not real people, excuse me) and entertainment. lol
KK, You never saw anything until you have seen a decent rummage sale up here. My daughter has 5 kids, and sells their clothes. You must know that she only buy's good stuff for them, like Gap, Kohl's, and all of those other good stores LOL. She makes sooooooo much money on clothes It Is enough to buy all new stuff for them. She spends lots of time washing, sorting, etc., but to make nearly $2,000.00 on old clothes Is just amazing.
Yard sales used to be lucrative in Racine, especially as you said, with items for children. I made a lot of money and it was especially nice to see things get reused.
Things kind of went aside when walmart came in and you could buy stuff so cheaply. Those (name brand) items I could sell for $1-2-3, sat until the end of the day... when someone would come around and offer .25-.50 a piece and walk away with a new wardrobe for $5.00. Way too much effort on my part for the return. Now, I just donate used items to goodwill. They use the profits for good things.
I LOVE rummage sales, haven't seen too many yet but will usually stop in unless it looks like little kid stuff, well past that time of my life
I used to have a rummage sale on and then but it was too much work and to sit around waiting for people to come was boring, I had better things to do, Goodwill gets whatever we are done with, they make out pretty good :)

This has got to be a trick question so...my answer is latex...Who wants to be my latex salesman?
Reefer?
Oh Orbs you beat me to it. I was going to say pot.
I know they are investing in infrastructure, roads, etc... probably much more than you quoted.
My official answer is plastics, "There's a great future in plastics."

I looked up the answer... but I'm not blabbing. Doesn't surprise me one bit. I used to like to dapple in that, myself!
Come on KK, share with the class.
KK: You must be from the "Graduate" generation. I can still hear him say "Plastics"
KK, I just clicked on your link. What a treat.
My answer Is TOILET PAPER.
No to the following
Latex
Reefer
Plastics
bras and bros or manzeres
pet food
TOILET PAPER
But the answer is...Garage Sales (rummage sales, yard sales)
That is a hell of amount of money....gezzz, there is money in treasures for sure!
SER... You've got to remember, it is the same stuff being sold over & over & over at these sales, so the actual cash value is like 10bucks. lol
I NEVER would have guessed garage sales.
