  2. I'm taking my niece to Gurnee Mills for Senior skip day today.. All of the other kids go to Wisconsin Dells these days instead of Great America, I guess she wasn't feeling traveling that long of a distance with a bunch of friends and decided to stay home.. Would have liked to take her to Great America, but I didn't know she wasn't going with her friends and the issue of money and babysitter becomes an issue.. Either way we should have fun just hanging out together..

It's really nice to be back.. Monday's might as well be a Wednesday or a Saturday in this house.. everyone is retired.. none of us are working at the moment.. (although seems like I may have a little part time job waiting for me)

I loved hearing the thunderstorm last night, we just don't get anything like that back in Sweden, well not very often any ways.. The big tree outside my parents house dropped a big branch..

So anyways, have a nice day today, I'm going shopping..

  4. So I guess Why Not, Stoughe, What If... Whatever her name is will be helping the economy out down in Gurnee. Happy Monday everyone, even you LM, this too will pass. Today is the start of a great week... be productive everyone

  5. Been productive already...planted some irises in front of my woods.....weeded a bit out there on the path...watered all my plants, trimmed the palm in front of my house so Biggie D doesn't get an eye poked out. Then I washed down my lanai and all the furniture on it. Waiting for it to dry so I can use my shop vac on some left-over debris.

    Have a great week.....

  8. Oh Huck I forgot about that. You are so right - thanks for reminding me.

  9. I would rather be raptured than to lose another pet, RIP Sly :(

  10. I'm so sorry about sly, even though he and I were not close...eek. I know how you felt about him, Liz; he had a good life with you.

Beejay, being retired means not working so hard. Why are you beating yourself up? My grandma said that dirt was here before us, and it will continue to be here long after. I'm going with that.

  15. So sorry Liz, to hear about Sly. I know he was a cool iguana.

  16. I'm so sorry, Lizardmom. Losing a pet is like losing a member of the family. If Charlie goes before me, I don't think I'm getting another pet. I can't take the loss anymore.

    Again, my condolences, LM.

  17. thanks guys, it's been a horrible day/night. The hardest part was having to tell his previous mom, next up is telling my sister and niece who were close with him as well, I could only handle telling one person at a time. I know non-lizard people don't 'get it' when it comes to my connection with this scaly critters, they are just as lovable to me, especially since I'm allergic to 'normal' pets
(OK, and I know I'm a little weird to boot...)
thanks again for your support and love, coming on here is like getting a hug :)
