"New…Mayor John Dickert is now suing the City of Racine"

From Racine Uncovered:

"12:40 p.m. – Mayor John Dickert is now suing the City of Racine related to the William Bieldfelt civil case. I just spoke with Tom Santarelli, the attorney representing William Bieldfeldt. Civil case William Bielefeldt vs. John T Dickert et al Racine County Case Number 2011CV001078

"To date the City of Racine has not responded to the claim from Mayor John Dickert in the lawsuit. Tom Santarelli stated during my interview that yes in fact Mayor John Dickert has filed a lawsuit against the City. Basically what it comes down to is if Dickert loses this lawsuit he wants to City of Racine to pay for it. It’s also stated that part of the reason this is being done is to try to possibly obtain a new judge, because of the way the current judge has ruled so far."

lol. I love a circus.

  1. He needs to be removed from office due to improper ethics and missuse of the office.

  2. I don't know that I get it. It sounds like a triple dip?

  3. I think he should sue himself, too.

  4. Doesn't the city have protective insurance that covers this? Isn't that standard practice to cover someone who is employed under this capacity? Is it just the fact that it is in question whether he was officially acting as mayor at the time?

  5. Bill Bieldfelt and his lawyer made a point of NOT suing the city, just Dickert personally, because his statements were made as part of a mayoral candidates forum. WRJN was giving equal time to each of the declared candidates. Lying John is just trying to avoid responsibility for his lies again.

The real screw-up was firing Mr. Bieldfelt in the first place. Instead of just saying, "We messed up, we're sorry, it won't happen again," lying John and the city development people went after Mr. Bieldfelt with lies and intimidation tactics. He stood his ground, though, and now all the poop is going to hit the fan.

Thank you, Bill Bieldfelt, for sticking to the truth under enormous pressure from lying John and his cronies. You have done every honest citizen of Racine an enormous favor.

    Party on, lying John!

  6. Some interesting things happened today related to this case. The city has withdrawn it's motion for substitution and right before that (On CCAP history) an affidavit was filed by a party in support of the plaintiff's motion to deny substitution :)

  7. Why is it we get stuck with losers for mayor like Becker and Dickert? I'd really like to see an elected official that ACTUALLY wants help out our city.
