Happy Friday everyone. My sister has been texting me the temperature in Racine and I hope it starts to get a little warmer up there. You are in the 60's and we are hitting 100. I'll take ours.
With a choice like that, I'll take the 60's. I worked very hard in my yard yesterday and was warm. In 100 degree heat, I can't even eat. Don't know how you do it, Mary.
Mary, in the mid-90's here...sent my two great nieces and a friend home yesterday...they weren't happy with the weather when they arrived in good old Wisconsin. But I am happy with the peacefulness of my house! Anyone have any ideas about getting hair dye out of a throw rug??? Washable...oh my...teenagers...how did you parents survive?
The weathermen can't even get yesterdays weather right...gezzzz, what a job, lie, lie, lie and never get fired for it!!! Maybe they should run for Mayor of Racine.
I'm putting in tomatoes today, a month after they should have been put in. My landlord gave me a "peace offering" of 8 plants. That was very nice, and unexpected, of him.
As for our weather, we just get used to it. Up there in October you turn the furnace on and in May probably turn it off. In May, we turn the a/c on and in October we turn it off. The ones I feel sorry for are the guys that work outside. Long sleeves and pants when it's 101, no thanks!
late to the party again :( I want a do-over, today felt like somebody hit the rewind and replay button and made it Monday again but way worse, geez louise... at least I get to sleep in tomorrow!

Beejay- you can try putting some hairspray on it over night then using spic and span with hot water to scrub it the next day. I did work for me.
Well I'm #5 and the weather sucks!
