Why Not? said...

I'm down to my last 10 days here in Racine, it will be wonderful to get back to my own space and more importantly to my husband.. but I'm going to miss it around here.. and I do not look forward to doing this trip alone with my girls.. not to mention packing up all of our stuff into only 3 bags that are allowed (if I dont want to pay for extra bags)... I dont handle this traveling stress well.. I dont handle any stress very well..

Just relax Why Not,no stressing, everything will go well and you'll be back home safe and sound. It was great to have you here in Racine, your little girls are really adorable.
I hope everyone has a positive & productive Monday after a simply beautiful weekend.

Had a wonderful weekend....saw a manatee over at the Venice North Jetties...so cool...got a picture posted on facebook...it looks to wild when you see one...at first I thought it was a bunch of seaweed, but then it began to swim. And the folks in the water sited it and became a bit uneasy....lol...manatees are pretty harmless and very, very shy. This is the third one I've seen in a week...saw two (I think) in Islamorada...playing in the Atlantic...

I can’t believe it. I can’t believe the luck. A month ago, my old computer went down in flames. Now the backup unit gave me the blue screen of death. I had to reformat the hard drive and reinstall everything. The Windows updates are endless. It takes a couple of days to get it all done. This time I lost everything except my photos and my music – those were on a separate drive. My neighbor says I’m cursed.

The old unit I understood going down. It had tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of hours on it. This one is almost as old, but hardly as used. The same neighbor gave it to me years ago after he bought a new machine. I only turned it one once or twice a week to update the antivirus and run some utilities.

Well, so far, so good. Maybe it was just a hiccup at the wrong time. Or maybe it is a curse. Mme. Z, are you sure you’re sure?

Happy Monday!

Sending my good bits and bytes computer vibes to you, orbs....

Glad the day is over. I somehow hurt my foot and the walking is I have to do all day is very painful. Makes for a long, grumpy day.

Why Not, it was good to see you at the get together. You've made some great memories for your children and yourself. You'll be fine. You made it here. You'll make it back.

My computer's mostly functional now. I remember doing this regularly with Windows 98 and Millennium. One guy I knew even had dozens of steps written down for reinstalling his system. XP has been very reliable, though. That's why a blue screen bothers me. I start worrying about the hardware.

mY PRINTER SOMEHOW GOT 'LOST' AND DUMBY ME i NEVER KNOW WHAT TO DO SO i ONLINE CHATTED WITH A TECH. i LOVE IT WHEN THEY 'TAKE CONTROL'. Looks like I don't know where my caps lock key is either!!!! Anyways it took about 15 min to 1/2 hour (they were that fast) and it had to do with a print spooler. Ya right. I slways get a hold of the tech guys and pretend I'm as dumb as a brick (pretend?) and they are so eager to help. I anti-virus and defrag mine every morning.

FIRST! - for Tuesday.

Sassa, I once a "little old lady" for tech help from Microsoft. She blew me away with her knowledge. She said she was a retired software designer or engineer or something.
