The Chu Crew Candy Collection

From the Journal Times:

This seems like a good idea.  I wonder if all of the candy gets to the troops or if Dr. Chu has a sweet tooth himself?  Just kidding...

  1. He's been doing this candy buy back for at least a couple of years. He is very nice guy.

  2. I would have to go through my grand kids stuff first to take out all the KIT KATs, M&M's and Hershey bars first....

  3. It Is a good idea, but I think I would rather donate the $30.00 It costs me for treats, and be done with It. They trick or treat up here to age 25. Makes me sick. Here Is a good one for ya. My grandson, age 16 has has Type I Diabetes since age 5. My daughter has 4 other children, and they don't trick or treat, as a gesture to their brother. The best part Is, It doesn't bother them a bit. I don't know where they got their kindness, but It certainly wasn't from me.

  4. I have one small bag of kiddie candy. I only give it out for the first half hour or so. After that, the kids are usually piling out of cars and are way too old for trick or treating. It is a shame that the holiday has to be spoiled for the cute little ones.

  5. I truly miss trick or treating.. wish I could take my girls.. I fear by the time we get back there for a Halloween they will be too old.. but I'll take them out to experience it at least once in their life..

  6. I had a gas trick or treating as a kid. Like kk said, though, much of it has been ruined now. It used to be a safer world for children.
