From Racine Uncovered: "From 620WTMJ.com-RACINE – City of Racine Alderman Keith Fair was arrested on suspicion of choking and striking a pregnant woman who works at the bar he owns, the Racine County Sheriff’s Department confirmed."Fair is being held in the Racine County Jail on possible charges of strangulation/suffocation, false imprisonment, battery, and disorderly conduct.
“'Mr. Fair is accused of choking and striking a female employee of the bar he owns, Place on 6th, on Friday, September 30th,' Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling said in a news release. 'The female victim is reported to be 8 weeks pregnant. Racine County Sheriff’s investigators took Mr. Fair into custody at his bar [Saturday] evening.'
“'This was a brutal attack, and Alderman Fair’s alleged actions inthis incident are not only concerning but alarming.'”
Fair is my alderman. Unfortunately, I'd say that his actions are a "fair" representation of the area that he represents.

I've been mockingly "backing" Fair on this term as alderman. City government is Racine is a farce and this just further proves it. Thug alderman. Liar Mayor. Crony cousin administrator. Crooked development dept and NSP. All crooks, all liars, all of the time. And we actually give our money to these monsters. LOL!!!
You just watch. Dickert and his cronies will be harrumphing and disdaining, pointing to Fair as if they are any better, ripping off the taxpayers for hundreds of thousands of dollars with their lies. City Hall is a pig pen where the oinkers wallow around and grunt. Pedo mayor. Pedo billionaire. Pedo teachers. Pedo journalists. That is the filth that Racine's "leaders" lead us to.
Who is the "embezzler," lying John? It's been 7 months since you announced the firing of an embezzler from the city. The lawsuit over this will cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars. Please save us all that money and just tell us who the "embezzler" is, liar.
I don't know what you can even say to something like this. Disgusting. Corruption is just everywhere. Makes me ill to read the news.
This week in the paper regarding Racine Unified School District:
1. Unified being sued because the "leaders" didn't address a child being repeatedly assaulted and bullied at school.
2. Unified touts the opening of their new Central offices at a cost of 10, yes 10, million dollars. (of course this will save money in the long run... right!) 3. Unified shows off their newest expenditure on library, media, multipurpose room added to an elementary school. (all while they reduce librarians and lib. assistants to run these facilities.)
What they don't say:
1. They've increased teacher to pupil ratio.
2. There are over 100 less classroom assistants.
3. People are being pulled from security monitoring of students to make up for these reduced bodies. Our children are less safe...
4. Good, hard-working people are out of work because of elaborate and foolish spending.
5. Not one of those administration jobs they claim they eliminated have saved the district actual dollars. Those people were simply moved to different jobs at the same rate of pay.
6. There may be more jobs at Central Office than there was last year. (new creations)
We keep getting taken, over and over in all areas of leadership. I haven't even mentioned the political agenda of taxation and lies about job creation. How do we stop this?

Already talking to "our lawyers" about removing Fair from office. How about a mayor who makes a pronouncement on the radio, and then holds the entire city hostage to outrageous legal fees while he refuses to admit his lie? Shouldn't he be removed from office first? Fair's actions will probably cost him a pretty penny. Dickert's actions won't cost him one penny - we get to pay for it all. At least Becker had the decency to step down once his lie was exposed and saved the city enormous legal expenses.
I guess you have to be a regular citizen to be arrested for choking a person, unlike a State Supreme Court Justice?

All the stuff he was arrested for a felonies, this is going to be interesting to see what happens.
Yeah, it looks like he's in a bad spot. They executed search warrants at his home and bar, and impounded his car. Who knows what they turned up. From what I understand, the alleged assault took place in his car. I wonder what the rationale was for searching the home and bar? Do they search the home and place of employment of everyone arrested for hitting and choking someone?
Dickert was smart enough this time to curb his tongue in comments to the Journal Times, but Helding already spilled the beans above.
Even if the alleged victim recants, I believe they will still prosecute.
If he's removed/resigns from office, is another election held or is his seat on the City Council filled by appointment? If so, by whom?
If there's another election, I might run. What the hell. I could hardly do worse. It's obvious that the voters of Racine don't give a damn who they elect, so why not me? Anyway, this would just be the voters of District 1.
Vote for me and I will lobby for free money for everybody in my district. I will do nothing else but try to get as much money as possible for the people of my district. I want wheelbarrows of cash dumped onto every street corner in the First District while a helicopter overhead showers hundred dollar bills onto the homes and streets below. That I promise you as your alderman of the First, and BEST, District of the City of Racine, Wisconsin, USA.

Helding was just on the Mke news at 10. He is already stating that they are moving forward to getting Fair removed from office.
Good question, orbs. Do they routinely search someones home for alleged assault?
Toad, Prosser is a real hot head jerk, no doubt about it. He has had other reports of losing his cool and he keeps getting away with it. I'm sure there was more to this story, though.... something didn't seem right about the way she acted afterward. If it really went down the way she initially said, he should have been arrested.
If they think that Fair is "controversial," I don't know what they'll make of OrbsCorbs. I'll lead district residents in a protest march on City Hall: "Free! Free! Free! Money! Money! Money! Free! Free! Free! Money! Money! Money!" We can just go round and round the building.
I'll craft an ordinance that makes it a felony for a city official to lie to the people of Racine.
Given these hard economic times, I'll suggest a program entitled "Dinner on the Mayor." Each Friday, every resident of Racine will be entitled to one meal at the restaurant of their choice (provided that it is locally owned and operated). The cost of these meals will be deducted from the mayor's paycheck. That will be a great way for the mayor to show empathy and care for the struggling residents of Racine.

IF by chance nothing happened, wouldn't those PRESENT make statements ending the problem AT ONCE, instead of dragging It out? If YOU choked someone you worked with, would you also allow the police to search your home, and other property?
