Second! Christmas was very nice, but I'd prefer the unholiday.
Why does it need to be so complicated? It is a huge buildup and pressure deadline to have everything happen on one day. People have too many places to be, too many families to accommodate.
Fourth? How did that happen??? Who's sleeping in? Hope it was a safe and happy Christmas for all of you. Mine was so nice...I got a bb/pellet rifle....now if my hand heals, those squirrel had better think twice about my bird feeders!
YES, he did. I received a WONDERFULL hand painted canvas of ALL eight of my Grandchildren from my youngest daughter. BALLED my eyes out, and the neatest sweatshirt from my oldest daughter. It's Park High Blue, with Orange professional lettering stating Washington Park 1968 XXL In big Orange Letters, and NELSON on the back. Just too neat. Other nice things of course. I cooked Crown Roast of Pork, and a Semi Boneless Ham, and all the trimmins. It was a WONDERFUL day.
I've come to realize that Christmas is much like a wedding, all kinds of hype, excitement, stress, preparations and POOF, all over in a day, kind of a let down, this is why I refuse to undecorate for a couple weeks yet, I still have more enjoying to do before I call it quits!
1st...yeah that's right..1st. I'm starting a new tradition, I want to be 1st, none of this being 5th crap. I can't win at KK's bedroom hanky panky game, so I'm going to win this... lol You guys are all great. Have a P & P day. Let's go P!.
Ack, I'm caught in a bad rerun. After months of relief, my stomach problems are back. Wtf? It's supposed to be triggered by anxiety/stress, but I don't think it was holiday stress. I enjoy Christmas.
Orbs, maybe you should go back and figure out what you've eaten during the holidays compared to what you normally have. I had pains yesterday and wondered what was up with that. Thinking about it I realized I had cranberries which contain little seeds which my diverticulitis does not like. So today I'm stocking up on fruits high in fiber (apples, pears) and then my stomach is happy again.
THB, it wasn't your delicious cookies. I have Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. The trigger is psychological. All of this crap started last year after a colonoscopy. Recently I was told that I am facing a cystoscopy (look inside the bladder), another colonoscopy, and then surgery to close an opening between my intestines and my bladder. After the surgery, in the hospital for 3 or 4 days (I've never been more than overnight) and a fricking catheter for two weeks afterwards. 4 weeks total recovery time.
None of this is related to my puking, but I suspect that apprehension of the medical procedures triggered it. I was fine until I was told about them. I got sick that afternoon.
Thing is, medical procedures never bothered me before. I had all sorts of tests done over the past year without a hitch. I don't know wtf is going on.
PS, Mary, I had a boss I hated who had diverticulitis. He loved sweets. People in the office were always bringing in donuts and pastry and such to share. I always brought a pecan kringle, not only because I like them, but because I knew he couldn't eat the nuts.
Orbs, you're so cute. I have to be honest and stand corrected. They say my excema is caused by stress and there are times when life is very quiet and I still have those nasty little patches of dry spots coming up. What the hell?
As long as we're trading war stories, since adolescence I had small patches of psoriasis on my knees and elbows. They weren't big - some people get half covered with scales - but the ones on the elbows in particular were persistent. A couple of years ago, they just disappeared.

Orbs that is what happens when you eat the whole plate of cookies at one time. You are suppose to eat just a couple at a time.
Mary same thing for me back to work today. I really enjoyed my four days off.
We were able to visit with both families. That was really nice and relaxing for me. I hope everyone was able to enjoy their Christmas!♥

Shame on me.
