Might just be coincidence, but their parent company, Lee Enterprises, filed for bankruptcy yesterday. Perhaps they anticipated a storm of scorn and closed the forum.

Hard to say what propels them in their decision making skills. They blow one way, then another with neither rhyme nor reason. One thing you can count on.... (understandably, they are a for profit business) however, they consistently put money before community.

You can't entirely rule out technical glitches either. Sometimes it can be hard to discern malice from incompetence.

I think they just forgot. It appears to be run like a high school paper, with the same immaturity and clique mentality. Just another thing to be ashamed of in Racine.

Looks like the Jouranl Sentinel is going for another Pulitzer. Investigative reporting: the black hole in Racine that sucks all the truth into it.
