Toilet Town

Lying John Dickert and his cronies want to spend a third of a million dollars "updating" City Hall's bathrooms: http://www.journaltimes.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/city-planning-bathroom-renovation/article_9bc0e18a-1b4d-11e1-96fe-001cc4c03286.html

These are the bathrooms in need of "repair:" http://www.flickr.com/photos/unisexcar/  Beautiful marble walls and ceramic tiles, stainless steel everything.  I could live in one of those bathrooms.  This is where our money goes - down the drain.

Remember, BUS schedules, garbage pickup, street lighting, and snowplowing are all being cut back because of Racine's budget crisis.  The seniors even got kicked out of their center because lying John jacked the rent up to $20K so his crony from the zoo could get the building.

But we DO have a third of a million dollars to replace the perfectly functional porcelain thrones in City Hall.

What kind of oinkers think like that?

Thanks to enicar333 for the the photos and the never-ending battle against the lies from City Hall.

Party on, lying John!

  1. Orb's, That's a NICE dumper. Lots of people would like a crapper made of granite like this one. It looks like It even has the electronic flushing mech. on It.

As for the center for the elderly. Should the Zoo get that building for peanuts (no pun intended) It should be easy to find out the rent, and should the rent be less than that 20k they were charging, the shit should hit the fan.

  3. The problem in politics is how the money is doled out. A budget is set up with a list of proposed tasks. It then becomes a race to spend that much money, or the next year, it will appear that they can do with less and their allotted amount will drop.

How many police hours, how many Emergency Medical Techs had to be cut? How many people suffered layoff? How many services will be cut, like the senior centers (where many low income elderly went to socialize, receive routine blood pressure checks, etc. AND eat?)

As for that picture, it is probably not indicative of all or most of the bathrooms in city hall. I've, unfortunately, read some of enicar333's posts. While it is great to give an opposing viewpoint, and keep the politicians real... In my opinion, his comments are sometimes escalated a little too far from the real reality point for me.

I believe he attacked me about the state of repair of the schools. I was sitting just a few feet away from the big hole in the ceiling he said didn't exist.

  4. The problem with them is what you can't see in the walls and floors, iron pipes only last so long and then start to leak. They also are not handicap accessible, except the ones in the basement. They should have done them back in 04 when first proposed (at half the cost). To many short sighted people and ideas around this town.
