Tin soldiers and Nixon coming, We're finally on our own. This summer I hear the drumming, Four dead in Ohio.
It gives my the goosebumps as well...
I may not been old enough to remember the events that happened at Kent State(I was a mere young lad), the song gave me a history lesson among Neil Young's searing guitar.
I played against Kent State in the mid to late 70's. At that time, the only memorial to this event was a grave marker where the shooting took place in the street, pretty sad. I wonder if they have changed that and made it more noticeable.
I just caught myself singing this song the other day. Somebody politically pissed me off, and I just started singing. She had NO idea what the hell I was singing. I have this song on a PINK vinyl bootleg LP. At least I HOPE it's still In the boxes I have.

That guitar and that voice, with CSN backing him up, yeah, it still gives me chills.

I also have the LIFE magazine, with the girl kneeling, and screaming over the dead student. To this day It still makes me sick.
