Hummingbirds

I went to the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum today. Got to try a little different type of photography with some success...hummingbirds, in flight!

There is a bush outside my living room window that attracts hummingbirds when it blooms. Will have to try some more this spring when the blooms come.

Fantastic stuff again, hale. Those are beautiful. I know of only one residence in Racine where I've seen hummingbirds.

Beautiful pictures Boppster....Thanks for the post.

When I had property in Adams, Wi. I had a humming bird feeder outside the kitchen window and they use to come and drink the sugar water. They are soooo cool to watch. It is amazing how fast they really are and how they can stand still in the air then dart back and forth into the feeder.

They are magnificent creatures aren't they. I love to sit and watch them.
Thanks for this Hale.

My parents house for whatever reason this past summer had a lot of hummingbirds around.. It was a lot of fun to watch them.. They live over by Island Park and I never remember seeing them growing up but there were quite a few this past summer..

National Geographic, here you come. Those are super neat!

I've seen them in Racine, but they move so fast, you almost don't know what you are seeing, and then they are gone.

I had one buzz right by my ear in a landscape bed and I momentarily mistook it for a large dragonfly.

I could spend hours gazing bird feeders watching and identifying birds.

Up North, we have the Ruby Throats by the dozens at the feeders.

While out in Cali, I saw the Anna's and the Costa hummingbirds.

I have a couple feeders out for them, and I do get alot of activity. I also get fushia plants with the pink & purple flowers, they are attracted to them as well... Great pictures Hale!
