I voted...but that was for the CD8 Congressional race here to fill out Giffords term. Election is next Tuesday, but I voted early since I will be out of town. An election between Papa Smurf and the guy whose picture came with the frame.
45 minute wait in Mount Pleasant, I was voter 911, roughly 12:20pm, I've never seen such a turn out, I didn't mind the wait, it was fascinating just watching that many people coming and going
I am planning to vote on my way home. I guess I'll stop and use the restroom before leaving the building. I can't imagine how long the line will be at 4:00pm
1:45 PM, I was voter #283 in my ward at Festival Hall. Looks like the other ward had more voters. I had to wait in line, but only about 5-10 minutes. The hang-up was the number of people registering to vote for the first time. Big turnout.
Oh yeah, there were a couple of poll watchers who were bitching about everything. It looked to me like there were more voters than the poll workers could easily handle and the watchers just made it worse with their complaining.
526 at 4:10pm. The joint was hopping. No parking spots. The line went fairly quickly, despite the many who were first time voters and had to register. I actually did a little dance after running my ballot through the machine.
SER, sorry to break the bad news, there will be more ads. There is another election in the wings. They've been holding back until this one is over.
here and planning on it
ReplyDeleteNo longer a resident...hoping all of you who can, will.
