Racine - still a hotbed of questionable political activity, is exposed again:
"If you're an underage student that's looking to sign a recall petition, Racine might be the place for you. Youth Empowered in a the Struggle (YES), the student arm of Voces de la Frontera, left their political footprint on June 5th's recall election by reportedly knocking on more than 8,100 doors and speaking with more than 3,600 people. The official tally Racine’s recall race has Senator Van Waanggard losing to John Lehman by about 800 votes."
I am very pleased to notice that many other concerned residents are finally noticing the ineffectiveness of the RUSD Administration and are calling for the failed Institution, RUSD, to be abolished and for schools to be returned to local control.
On a lighter note...I hope everyone has a P & P day. I was thinking...How is it that a cemetery can raise its burial costs and blame it on the higher cost of living?
82 degrees out there according to my thermometer and humidity like a wet blanket. They are saying close to 100 today.
I suffered from a heat related incident many years ago. Thought I was handling things well, swimming to cool off, and then it came on very suddenly, everything went black. An experience like that will quickly change how you look at heat and humidity. I hide in "artificial air" whenever possible.
Stay safe everyone. Orbs, my air is your air if you need it.
KK, I hear you. Ours says it is 90 outside which is doable but the humidity is also up which makes it hard to be out. Got my flowers and tomatoes watered though. There everywhere.
Home at last!! figures that the last day there at the summer house would give us the nicest weather.. I was even out in my summer dress and I wasnt freezing or being blown away.. ah well.. The thermometer says 68 degrees here but it's 9:30 p.m. so actually thats a pretty good day.. tomorrow is supposed to be in the mid to high 70s a scorcher around here..
I hope you all enjoy the 4th.. I get quite home sick around the 4th.. we usually have such a great time at the parade and grilling out.. we will try to do something here, I used to have an American flag (a little one) and I would put it out every year but I havent a clue where it is.. (I know thats not good.. Have a happy 4th!
People out there are already getting nuts. It was in the air this afternoon when I was out running errands. Grocery stores were jammed with 4th of July party shoppers.
I don't know, did it make it to 100 today? I don't think so. If so, I was out in it. It says 94.7 now.
Thank you, kk, for the kind offer. I have a/c and Charlie and I have been hiding in it as much as possible. (Actually, Charlie isn't very fond of it.) If my a/c breaks down, I'll show up on your doorstep.
Morn'in All........
ReplyDeleteOh, crap. It's burka tuesday already? Mine is at the cleaners.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a pink one before.
ReplyDeleteHot today, even hotter tamale.
I'm so done with this heat, got sick years ago from heat and now have very little tolerance for it, just hoping to survive today!
