I'm back.. been away for the last week and a half up in the northern parts of Sweden (well more like the middle but more north than I am)attending my SILs wedding. I did my first attempt at a wedding cake and I have to say other than a few flaws and learning experiences it was a success.. I was a bridesmaid and the girls were flower girls and my husband was master of ceremonies at the reception.. it was a BLAST.. I don think I have ever danced so much.. They hired a jazz band to play and they were very good..
but now we are home and you never appreciate your bed as much as you do as when you come home after sleeping on a pull out for a week and a half.. I feel like I'm hungover because of the running around and stressing we have done for the last week.. I sit here and I'm not quite sure what to do with myself..
I am so happy for my SIL Catharina and her new husband Erik, they truly look happy together and very much in love. At the reception he played a song that he wrote special for her, I do not think there was a dry eye in the place..
This week things will start to go back to normal.. my husband starts to work again on Thursday.. will have to figure out something fun to do with the girls.. anyways hope you all are having a good day..
I got to sleep in today, working a later short shift so I can stay awake for the Styx concert at State Fair tonite :) I'm off tomorrow because I'll be too tired to get up to open. Our power went out for about a 1/2 hour, maybe 12:30-1am ish, the silence woke me up. I can't sleep when it's quiet, I need at least the air cleaner and the radio. Glad it came back on and I got back to sleep. Funny thing is that if it were a 'normal' day for me, I probably would have just stayed up and started getting ready and awake in the dark, but the one day I didn't have to... geesh! have a great day everybody!

it's always annoying when you wake up way too early on the days you've been looking forward to sleeping in.. ugh..
And vice versa.
Ahh, for the first time in over a month, rain. Sweet.
Liz, Tender Heart and I saw Styx last summer at Summerfest. They do put out a good show. Hope you have fun!
Styx was my very first concert, at Memorial Hall. They were spectacular back in the 70's, egad. (cough)
the concert was awesome, great day! now off to bed, yikes, I'm usually getting up soon!
Why do I feel like I'm at Mardi Gras? Is she flashing me?
