  1. All I can say is wow, how could they get that call so wrong.

  2. Being I have not been a fan of professional sports since the early eighties, watching a few of this years NFL games has been a waste of time. Until the NFL fixes its defects and recalls the contested games, I will refuse to watch any more NFL games. Thanks Orbs for posting!

  3. I have even seen Bears fans express sympathy for the Packers...that's a real wow!

  4. I have no investment In the Packers, so I don't have too much to say about It, other than the fact they should have played a lot better In the first half. For the people that have seats to games that they pay a fortune for, those people I feel sorry for, but until people stop paying to see stupid officiating, the NFL isn't going to care much. The Packers for instance will ALWAYS have a full stadium no matter what.

  5. The owners don’t care what you say about the refs, whether they’re assholes, stupid, incompetent or whatever, they’ll admit to that, but HURT their INTEGRITY and something will happen.

Hit them where it hurts, MONEY, they’ll pay attention when they start loosing money.

Remember back when the baseball players went out on strike, the game has never really returned to what it once was! Same thing can happen here.

  6. Hale-bopp I grew up in Illinois. So Yes I am a Bears fan but for the last three weeks this refs have not done their jobs right. To many wrong calls and yes mainly the last one for last night. Half of the sacks called on Packers should have been penalties. This goes out to all of the Packers fans and all of the NFL players. This is a bunch of crap.

  7. SER, I think that the Networks, and Satelite providers should negate their contracts, and stop paying the NFL. Your right, the only thing that would concern them would be money. The players could hit them hard, by not allowing the NFL to profit from the sale of their Names, and Numbers on shirts etc. Just shut It off. Teams could send their 2nd team out, and see how many penalties can be called. I could think of all kind of fun things. BTW. DON'T FORGET, the NFL LOCKED the ref's OUT.

  8. Let me just say.... you get what you pay for. Experience and know-how are sorely underrated nowadays. That goes for teaching, policing, firefighting, air traffic controlling, you name it. When collectively, one thinks the market can support and do better with replacements, inferior output and lack of knowledge and experience results.

I agree, the refereeing and the outcome stunk last night, big time! But let's keep perspective here, this is a game. Will there be an outcry and a call to settle with the referees? Does this need to be extended to other professions? We are betting on future outcomes in more serious areas with this type of mentality.

  9. "'Here you have one of the strongest brands in sports putting itself in a position where the integrity of a game has been called into question,' David Carter, executive director of the sports business institute at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business, said of the resulting furor among football followers Tuesday. 'Once you start to have to discuss that, it becomes and a drag on your revenues and then a drag on your brand.'"

  10. On Sunday while watching the Fox pregame coverage they were discussing the interim referees. I believe their "in house referee" named Mike said it takes years to understand the rule book. These guys have had a few months. So we really do need to give them a little slack.
That being said, I'm still pissed off at them for what they did last night.

  11. The substitute referees are also why I'm at the bottom of the Irregular Football League. Damn them!
